Position: Sr. Designer
Type: Full Time Contract

We are currently looking for an expert designer to join the MOBAFire team. You will be working directly with FlashJ and Matt, and will be responsible for creating interfaces and graphics used by millions of gamers every month. This is not a junior position, we’re looking for someone with the skills to put FlashJ to shame and produce exception design work. The successful candidate will be expected to fully understand CSS/HTML 5 (as it applies to design), UX design, Usability, Conversion theories and have killer Photoshop skills. You must be able to hit the ground running and be willing to handle projects of any size including regular schedule tasks such as creating template images as well as designing large features or even entire websites. There are no juniors here so you are expected to do it all with enthusiasm.

In order to qualify for this contract you must be able to prove extensive experience designing web interfaces preferably in the gaming industry and you should be a gamer. You must have experience working in a development environment on large projects with a lot of dynamic data using templates.

This position will be contract 6 months to start working directly with Matt and FlashJ to realize their vision. While your input and creativity will be required and rewarded you must be able and willing to take specific direction, both on layout and creativity, and produce exceptional work. The amount of creative freedom will range from very little to almost total and you must be equally happy with both.

Design is always a pivotal position in any project, you must be willing and able to work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure all concerns are met. You will need to create top notch work that incorporates the concerns of user experience, development, marketing, SEO and more. Every gaming community on the MOBAFire Network is a living, breathing entity that continues to evolve. Being able to look objectively at your own work to see where you could improve, and the willingness to do so is imperative. Our users are always right, can you handle that?

Working with a team means compromise, flexibility, commitment and a “let’s get it done” attitude. We are a team who does what it takes to make it happen. We work hard, play hard and allow the flexibility for the two to co-exist harmoniously. It’s up to you to manage your time wisely and effectively, after all, you know when you are in a creative space, not us. Play when you want to play, work when you are productive but remember you are part of a team.

While our development environment is flexible, results are not. This is a results driven contract. Quality, expertise and deadlines are on the scorecard. In order for this to work open communication is necessary. You are expected to be reachable and to communicate with team members in a very timely manner. Be proactive about your projects and communicating with other stakeholders. It’s your responsibility to deliver results.
