Playing as Bot/Sup I find it tough when Yone roams down from mid lane to gank the bottom with 'Soul Unbound' then snaps back before retaliation.
Maokai Support putting sapplings in the river bush and/or tri-bush is a handy deterrant if you can spare the mana.

First, wards in bot and ping from mid lane.
against roaming midlaners..
champs with mines or pets, cc with wide zoning control, or high mobility
but again, wards and pings, if you don't have em your are blind and you'll need very good reflex
I would not consider to pick a particular champ to counter a mid lane if you are in bot, i would focus on your bot lane enemy.
