On the contrary, within a day or so of my build being out, I got 3 up votes and 3 down votes. I thought my guide would never get recognition again, but since then (something like 2 weeks ago?) I've had 8 straight up-votes.
Just hang in there, keep level-headed about the down votes, and know that a well-written guide will outlast the trolls.

What Trojan said is true, EVENTUALLY you will get enough upvotes to offset troll downvotes. It does however make it really hard for people to find your build, especially if you get them in the beginning.
Personally if I'm wanting more feedback than I'm getting I will join vent and put the link in my comment (I don't think that'd advertising since it's not clogging the forums?) I also ask people I know and play with from moba if they have time to look and give me feedback. If you ask politely / they actually know you at least a little they're usually pretty obliging. :)
But for the love of god don't just ask everyone on vent to look!!! They will probably be not very happy if you do that. :)

Well, thats not the problem, people are seriously stubborn about my jarvan build for example as it is not as tankish as they want it to be (basicly they want the standard given by riot in the spotlight) altough it could be if they used some optionals which they aren't reading.
Hence i want some kind of solution to help unreckognized builds out there to get known, i've seen builds totally trolled to the ground while the builds were actually pretty decent like a build of xiaoli (don't remember which 1, been a while).
The group of testers for mobafire guides seemed like an option to me although people with skill/experience would actually need the willingness and patience to test all those builds.
Just want some idea's.

I find it rather lame that when your guide gets downvoted from the start people rarely look at it (yeah, people usually tend to take a peek at the highest votescore).
Right now only 5 votes, of which 1 was + from someone who found it decent, 1 + from someone who enjoys giving people a free +, 2 were - votes saying they dont like the build and 1 - while i don't even know why i got a - as i forgot comment required for vote.
Been watched 600+ times and only 6 actual posters XD.
Kind of funny but also kind of sad.
Does anyone have a good idea how to get serious people to look at new builds without advertising *which also brings in flamers*?
Really want some brainstorming on this matter, like this idea "a small group of build testers that have decent skills and experience" or something just for mobafire.
