Dunno how interesting it can be, but it just popped out in my mind when i wanted to look for old posts in very long threads (QQ, Faces to names etc...).

It'd basically consists in a search bar that should appear in every thread's pages where we can put some key words or an user's name to find all the posts with those key words in it/made by that user in that thread. Could be extended to a whole forum section too, depends on what people think of this. I admit i didn't really think much at it, as i said it was a sudden idea, but it's a pretty simple and time-saver function.

The forum isn't really set up to do this and it would really only be useful in super long threads like you said, so I'm thinking it's not going to add enough to the forum experience to be worth working on right now. :(
