I don't think there's so much threads per day that we would need this. In most cases you can see like one week old topics still on page one.

Under the section "threads", bumping is described as a sort of "link" that can be used by thread owners every 10 minutes.

You need to log in before commenting.
So my suggestion would be to add a bump button, which works like this:
- Only the thread owner can see this button; it's located in the first post, next to the edit button.
- When the thread owner clicks it, the thread will jump back to the top of page one.
- It can only be clicked once every 30 minutes (to avoid abuse).
So, is this a good idea? :)
