The voting system is very complex and score calculation takes into account many different factors. The score is only 8.1 because 6 votes aren't enough to accurately determine if the guide is good enough for higher ranking.
Let's say the author would have a perfect score of 10 due to having only upvotes and no downvotes at all. That would place it above other guides with hundreds of votes that might have some downvotes, as all guides naturally have, even though its score is more accurately calculated due to its higher number of votes.
The score of the guide you've mentioned will grow in time if it gets more upvotes. It's also important who the votes are coming from, as votes from logged in members weight more than guest votes.
