After time and time again being total jerks, even to the point of Linus Torvalds giving them the middle finger, Nvidia now does a 180 on their policies regarding open source drivers for Linux.

One might somehow suspect that this is connected to other recent announcements regarding Linux... Hum-de-hum..

Nvidia are pretty much just playing it safe and not taking any risks with their primary market, seeing as they are far from dominant in the mobile market and have no hand in the next-gen consoles at all.
Google has a job title called "Head of Black Community Engagement"..
