I like the novel alot, but it does have some resemblance to .hack. The anime is good too.
If people don't like it, then don't watch it. But i understand if theres some criticism about it.

I haven't watched the novel, is that complete unlike the anime or still in progress?
The novel is in the 4th arc of the series, where as the anime is still in the 1st arc.
It's still being translated as we speak.
1st Arc: Aincrad
2nd: Fairy Dance
3rd: Phantom Bullet
4th: Project Alicization
Of course theres about 11 volumes of the novel. Each arc is about 2 volumes, and theres one volume for side-stories inbetween the 3rd and 4th arc, and 1 for side stories in the first arc, and a compliation of minor sidestories including a nice crossover with Accel World (written by the same author) if you like that series too.

Ah, ok.
Here you go.

It is in multiple languages for convenience, plus if you don't want to download, you can read on the site :D
Also, that translator does/has done alot of light novels. And i mean ALOT. Still, translations are sporadic as it's up to whoever is doing the chapter to notify the staff.
*cough* there's a special chapter known as Chapter 16.5 in the first arc. Look for it if you want, but it's not for everyone. Warning given.

Ooo, nice thanks!
Warning given, aye?
Warning dismissed.
Just sayin. It would break MOBAfire's rules if i said what was in it, so i'm just giving a general warning.
It happens between episode 10 and episode 11 of the anime, for continuity if you're wondering.
On the note of the anime, it mixes in both volume 1's main story and volume 2's integral side stories into one, which will help anyone who doesn't understand where specific characters come from.

I doubt that.
I'm guessing it's some kind of sex scene or a very gruesome death(or similar). Just telling us what it is won't get you into trouble.
It's if you were to post any kind of explicit picture or a link to one you'd be in trouble.
I dunno how it is about text though (is this a manga or text only?). Though it's probably not allowed.

Hm, it(the entire novel)'s completely text, with a few illustrations at the beginning, as a synopsis and to give a small amount of insight on the characters. However, the chapter is solidly devoid of any pictures. Still, it's NSFW so i feel that it's important to warn people before they start looking for it. The translation group doesn't host the chapter in it's online wiki/reader, but if you search enough, it's there.
