The proc deals magical damage, is it affected by magic pen, or is the damage dealt separately from your hero and will only take into account the enemies magic resistance on the time of impact. What I'm asking is if you have a bunch of magic pen stacked will your Ionic Spark proc for 'more' damage.

Edit: How about the magic damage on hit from Wit's End?

Magic pen.

But it's not cost efficient to stack magic pen for an on hit effect like Ionic Spark. It would be better just get more, like Wit's End, or Malady, or Madred's, etc.

So Magic Pen does affect both Wit's end and Ionic Sparks on hit effects?

Why would it affect With's End on-hit effect? That's not extra damage, it stacks magic resistance :P
Edit: But Ionic Spark does count :)

I have, but as an AD carry. Until recently, I always played him AD, because even though I was dealing magic damage, it only scales with AD, besides, I like lifesteal on top of his Q and passive.
