Hey guys. I've been an awful lot of solo top latelt and I've also been playing Poppy a lot. I was thinking of getting runes that could work well with Poppy but I have no idea what to use for runes on her. Should I go mostly ARMOR runes or should i get a 1/3 mix of m/pen (scaling on q) and 2/3 ARMOR? Ar/PEN? Could you guys help me with this.

Get flat AD marks and the rest either Armor vs a physical dmg enemy or Mr vs a magic dmg enemy.

AD marks and AD quints because your Q scales with AD, but deals magic damage (thus making ArP useless for Q).
Armor seals and MR glyphs to reduce the damage you take.

If you know you'll face a champion with strong physical damage (like Riven) then you can use armor marks and quints instead of AD and focus on farming, but that's a technique you'll use more when you get to higher elo.

Honestly, I'd have 2 runepages for Poppy. One with more MR than armor and one with more damage than defenses.
Free 15 armor at level 1 is real strong.

I heard, MS-Quints are also viable.

Most of the time vs enemy's like Tryndamere or Riven only seals as armor isn't enough, even with that armor boost. You want as much armor as possible, see Dufflaf. But of course, for mor aggression, AD runes help most.

MS quints are very strong as well. They basically make you impossible to gank, especially combined with her W, passive and ultimate. Just as long as you can deal with your lane opponent without the extra armor/MR, movement speed becomes a very good option.
