    can i get demoted from gold 5?

    so i just hit gold for the first time and im super excited but im worried about getting demoted because im at 0 lp and i really don't want to get demoted.

    Yes you can. Your MMR must be around Silver V for it to happen though (you have to lose a lot of games). You won't decay, so if you don't play ranked at all until the end of season you will remain in Gold.
