Controversial support, anyone?

So with all the is this one viable as a support question coming in. I want to ask you guys of the unorthodox support you have encountered since preseason, do tell me how did it end as well.
Edit: Since everyone was eager to join in, I might contribute as well. Cait+Ez, both with relic shield. Nautilus, start with doran shield and proceed to dive just about every time.

I've seen some really good supports.

i've done volibear.
i've seen a pantheon a few times.
i've attempted rammus and had a game where i died like 13 times and got no kills BUT i each death got my adc a kill or was me split pushing and weakening a tower.
one time i saw a xerath.
i've experimented with ryze.
i've gotten forced into an anivia support, did ok.
i've seen oriana and that usually works ok.
i've done nidalee to great success but i play that more like a kill lane, i build ap and go aggressive, i won't steal kills unless it is something like, enemy is under tower and my spear has a clear path and my adc would die trying.
i've seen ciderhelm do galio.
i've seen veigar but they never work well.
i've seen lissandra.
i've seen aatrox.
i've done cho'gath but i switched with top pretty early.

Nidalee is actualy well known and supp Lissandra was often used when she was released and people needed to test her. Anivia is actualy really good idea I don´t own her but I ll wait on free week. Veigar can work I saw OddOne streaming a game where his teammate was just stacking Q / Diamond Elo

Oriana played like sona/janna kinda works. And if you want to troll in normals pick anything with some good land able form of CC. Like Teemo Elise Galio Panth Ryze fiddle viktor xerath ahri ziggs leblanc. I just finished gamë with sivir +lee sin against zyra graves and we rocked.

WOW I just saw my Sivir Lee sin combo in OGN Winter championship. Najin Shield tried it against Samsung Ozone.

Teemo support.. Didn't do much damage and sort of was bad so I can't really say anything about it but it didn't go well for them. (fed me as cait)

i personally also have done support :D Get a tear/manamune early then q slow for days:D vision in your e to see if ganks are coming and a good stun in case you need to initiate or protect your carry:)
