Hey everybody,
Yesterday I played Yorick top lane. Nothing to fancy just a little PvP to calm the nerves and guess what? They had a duo top, Jax and Vladimir. Irony is they still had a jungler. Despite the added person top, I managed to not only keep my lane but bully their entire top lane down. by end game i was fighting off the entire team with Yorick's sustain.

For now, unless you play exceptionaly bad - or the enemy is exceptionally good, solo top ALWAYS wins against duo top. The reason is simple:
While you gain all the gold and exp from CS, your opponents have to share the exp and only one of them will get the gold. Sure, they have better kill potential early, because there are two of them, but if you just safely farm under tower, they can't do anything to you. Just by surviving first few levels, you get into advantage, because duo laners are underlevelled and have no items.
And if you are lvl6, they are lvl 4-5, and then your lvl6 jungler comes for a gank, it is a sure kill, if not double. The thing is, while solo top has to do just OK, duo top has to do very well to outplay you.
Just to make it clear - you can still be outplayed and lose a lane against the duo top, if they are good or premade (so one of them CS, other one gets kills and such) so if you see duo top, don't be cocky, play safe and you have higher chance to win. ;)
