"In my experience, when i have played with Soraka i have generally lost most trades in lane when the enemy support comes in to damage me too. For example, I was playing as Caitlyn with Soraka against an Ezreal Sona lane, and even though you can spam spells and get heals constantly"

Soraka is a really weak early game support, due to having no real damage in lane, or any cc. However, if you can make it to late game with her, you can pretty much counteract anyone's burst with...

"I am going for gold by the end of this season, and I am currently in Silver 2. Silver 2 is definitely better than silver 5-3. I don't know if it is just me, but once you make it to Silver 2, it is easier to carry, and you team is not full of stupid people. Good luck! I hope you make it :)"
