Sucks

I hate it when you get into a good League and Division for Ranked, then you play with your friends from school, work, etc, then you drop a Division a few weeks till the end of season 3

Don't queue ranked with other people if they're going to bring you down. If you really want to duo with people worse than you, I suggest creating a smurf account for that purpose. Takes a bit of work to level it to 30, but then you have an account that you can use to queue with whomever you like without worrying about your rating. It's a lot less stressful that way.
