What do you think about him? Op? Up? Balanced? I think his ulti/overshield are broken and the rest is ok.
Just sayin.

1. Pick a laner that can beat him or match him in lane. Cass is a good counterpick, while Morgana can stalemate him pretty decently (at least I think so). Someone like Udyr with good sustain and strong trades should beat him top.
2. Pick a jungler that has enough damage and/or CC to net you some kills and set you up for a stronger mid game.
3. Buy a QSS (so many players forget this). Not only does it remove the possibility of becoming a ghost, it takes out like a third of his nuke damage, removes the majority of his short term sustain and can even dispel
So wards are pretty much nececarry with him.
Once he gets spell vamp though, that's a different situation...you'll just have to try and be stronger than him which should be possible if you win your lane during laning phase.
