Put my education to good use and get a job that pays more than my $9.35/hr that I'm currently getting."

There are a lot of nuances later on, but when you're learning the basics, I think it's easiest to learn about the game/items with someone like Ashe . From there I branched off into mid, top, jungle, and support. Play around with champs/roles in low-s"
