The new nerfs to Orianna look devastating to her Q and the small buffs to her W and E dont look like much, so I was wondering who would be best in mid lane out of the three, trying to decide on who to buy next to bring me out of elo hell

They're all good picks, however, it is still dependant on who you're good with, and who you enjoy. For example, recently, I have found it very easy to carry on Katarina.

Also, malz still sucks imo. Especially in solo queue. Your ult is simply too risky if you can't count on your team to coordinate. I still don't like how easily QSS counters him.
Brand's all right but I don't think he's anything special. If you're good with him you should be able to carry just fine. He's not much stronger than most APs though.
Ori has utility, zone control, CC and a lot of AoE. Not the greatest pick for solo queue, but a good Ori player can definitely carry games.
The nerf on her Q is balanced by the buff on her W, Q is losing .2 ap ratio, and w is gaining .2 ap ratio. The main changes here are her QoL buffs.
