Intro
Your job is to stay top and farm. Not to kill, go to ganks, go for objectives, just farm. Ideally you want to not feed (duh), or ask your jungler to come help you out. You are the good top laner. You will do your best to farm your lane and not whinge for ganks, as your other lanes need ganks too, and if you dont need them might aswell give them to other lanes so they can get fed. Mainly you will farm with auto attacks, but if you are getting harrased hard remember you have ur q to cs and ur w lets you farm well under tower too. since ur w gives you back mana you can keep on using q to farm, or you can use it for minimal harrass since you do not have huge mana problems anyway. try to keep from using ur e as it pushed the wave. I recommend you stay in lane for a solid 10-15 mins so you can get all the farm you need.
Mid game you will start to help your team out a little more while farming at the same time. With your ult you have great mobility so use that to you opportunity by ganking other lanes or splitpushing one lane then rapidly rotating to another. Teleport gives you great global presence so keep an eye out on the minimap for objectives and possible teamfights.
With most of your build completed you should start to go for objectives, kills and teamfights. With iceborn and your e you can clear minion waves really fast and you can rotate around the map due to your ultimate and teleport. Always look to push free lanes and go for towers as you have surprising high pushing ability, and you can always ult away when the enemy team come for you.
In teamfights you should always try and shut down their adc or ap mid. Never engage first, but make sure you can stick to that adc or ap mid the moment their supports are distracted. Ideally you want to stay out of sight and not act like a threat then you can ult over a wall and on top of their squishies. By doing this you bring up two possibilites: you can either distract or even kill their adc (if they are very immobile e.g. draven, ashe), until your team cleans up the rest of the enemy, or you can force the enemy support or tank to peel for their adc, which again gives an advantage to the rest of your team (provided they can cleanly win a 4v3). Remember that you are not an assassin but a bruiser, so dont dive in thinking you can oneshot their cho'gath and get out alive. Your job is to distract their main damage dealers long enough for your team to dish out damage and win the teamfight.
However if you are initiated by the enemy and you are not in a position to distract their adc you should try and peel for your adc or whatever main damage dealer. With iceborn you get an instant spellblade proc with ur w, which allows you to effectively stop them from jumping on your adc. Doing this you may be able to save your adc or even turn the fight around.
