NOTE ABOUT THE STATS MOBAFIRE SAYS YOU HAVE WITH THE FULL BUILD

ITS WRONG. IT DOES NOT GIVE THE BONUS DAMAGE YOU GET FROM ATMA'S, END GAME YOU HAVE AROUND 240 AD. IT ALSO DOES NOT GIVE THE BONUS HEALTH YOU GET FROM WARMOGS, IT SHOULD BE ABOUT A MAX OF 3600 HEALTH. PROPER STATS CAN BE FOUND HERE

ALSO FAIR WARNING, THIS GUIDE IS VERY MANLY (vulgar), YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Introduction

Ok, so I decided to make this guide because ALL THE OTHER MANTHEON GUIDES ARE AWFUL. Seriously. Like the second highest rated one I think says rush Sword of the Occult, Boots of Swiftness, The Brutalizer and then get 3 blood thirsters. Seriously, what the **** is that? If you want to be able to do ANYTHING outside of bot games, you will follow this build.

Also before you downvote for not enough DEEPS, try this thing called logic:

Mantheon's sole purpose in teamfights is to kill AD carries, and they are generally the MOST protected character in a teamfight, meaning you will have to be a man AND GO THROUGH THEIR ENTIRE TEAM, and if you don't build tanky, you'll die before you stun even goes off. And remember this, AD carries are extremely squishy, meaning you don't need a ton of damage to kill them fast.

Also, PANTHEON IS NOT AN AUTO ATTACKER, he is an AD caster, meaning his itemization is different than most other champs. I will go into more depth on this in the item section.

Most importantly: ONLY PICK PANTHEON IF YOU ARE SURE YOU WILL BE SOLO TOP, AND BE HESITANT TO CHOOSE HIM AGAINST AP SOLO TOPS. YOU WILL NOT GET ENOUGH FARM WITH AN AD CARRY BOT, YOU ARE NOT AN AD CARRY, YOU SUCK AT JUNGLING AND YOU WILL BE RAPED IN MID UNLESS YOU'RE AGAINST KASSADIN.

Runes

Ok my runes are simple:
6 Armor Pen Reds - Gives you some nice early game armor penetration.
3 Flat AD Reds - Great early game damage
9 Flat Armor Yellows - Nice bonus armor, great for solo top
9 Scaling mana regen blues - These can be swapped out for a quite a few different rune sets, magic resist and cool down reduction to name a few.
3 Flat AD Reds - Great early game damage.

Ok so you might be wondering why I chose flat AD runes instead of Armor pen, and it's ok to wonder, because the majority of the time, armor pen IS better. But not for mantheon, mantheon's abilities are his main source of damage, and he scales with BONUS AD, meaning extra AD is super strong, especially early game.

Masteries

The masteries I chose are best suited for mantheon, because the later points in offense don't benefit you nearly as much as the later points in defense.

Items

Ok, this will be my most in depth section. And before you criticize the amount of gold you need for this build, you are solo top, you should farm well, do that alone and you should have a full build by 45 minutes, but you also have an amazing kill securing passive (all your attacks become crits if the enemy is below 15% health), meaning you should be raking in the gold almost every game.

Starting options:
Doran's Blade Most common start, pick this one if in doubt
Cloth Armor+ Health Potion x5, pick this one if you're laning against a really strong AD champ such as Tryndamere
Boots+ Health Potion x3, pick this you need the extra speed to dodge enemy skills and such

Boot Options:
Mercury's Treads The majority of the time, these are your best bet, and by end game swap whatever other boots you have for these.
Ninja Tabi Get these if you're laning against a strong AD auto attacker [Tryndamere]
Ionian Boots of Lucidity I RARELY get these, but they are somewhat viable

Your most important item early game:
The Brutalizer Seriously. It is the best AD caster item in the game, AD, Armor Pen and Cooldown reduction.

But instead of rushing it blindly, wait a moment and think of what you actually need.
If you need better lane sustain, or need damage AND tankyness fast get a Wriggle's Lantern, this item is crazy good early game, it gives you AD, Armor, a nice amount of lifesteal and a free ward every 3 minutes! Also don't be afraid to get an extra Doran's Blade, it never hurts!

Now that you have a bit of damage, it's time to get a Sheen, this thing makes your burst immensely stronger and helps with the mana problem mantheon has. But before you go and rush to finish it into a trinity force, stop, you don't need the other components of a trinity force yet, yes a phage is a good item, but there are better items, and seriously, never have a zeal in your inventory, it is wasted space on pantheon, but doesn't mean the trinity force is a waste.

Now that you have a bit of damage, it's time to get your tanky items, THEY ARE NOT OPTIONAL, AT ALL.
This is the order you should complete your tanky items:
Glacial Shroud - This item is amazing for mantheon, gives a nice chunk of armor, extra mana and cooldown reduction, seriously it is amazing on pantheon.
Giant's Belt - This item gives you a nice boost in health, which we will build into a Warmog's Armor LATER
Now replace that Wriggle's Lantern (if you built one) with an Atma's Impaler, but don't sell the wriggle's if you can't entirely replace it with an Atma's. I finish atma's before I finish warmog's because it gets you some much needed AD sooner.
Next finish up your Warmog's Armor, by this point you will be one scary ***********er, boasting 3k+ hp, 200+ AD and 150+ Armor, and most games will finish shortly after this point but if they don't, don't worry, this build doesn't drop off nearly as hard as glass cannon (****) pantheon.
Now you can choose to either finish your:
Trinity Force if you want more damage
Frozen Heart if you want more survivability
Now you have almost finished your build and it should look something like this:
Mercury's Treads The Brutalizer Atma's Impaler Warmog's Armor Trinity Force Frozen Heart

So what to do with that brutalizer? If the enemy has literally no armor you can get a Blood Thirster, but this rarely happens, so I RARELY suggest doing that.
If they have a moderate amount of armor (around 125 armor average) go ahead and finish your brutalizer into a Youmuu's Ghostblade
If they have a serious amount of armor (150+ armor average) get a Last Whisper
If they have a moderate amount of armor but there is an AP champ giving you a serious amount of trouble replace it with a Banshee's Veil or a Force of Nature

This should cover most games, but I'll advise you on other items:
Infinity Edge - Don't get this, you don't auto attack enough, and your built in crit doesn't need a damage boost
Phantom Dancer - Never EVER ****ING GET THIS ON PANTHEON, YOU DON'T NEED ATTACK SPEED OR CRIT CHANCE. SERIOUSLY. **** YOUR PHANTOM DANCER.
Thornmail - Never get this, frozen heart does a better job at helping you survive and gives you mana and CDR, leave it to people like Rammus who can properly use the reflect damage aspect of it
Randuin's Omen - This item is ok, but you shouldn't replace your frozen heart with it, only get it if there are 3+ auto attackers on the other team.
Frozen Mallet This item is ok, but it doesn't give you much more AD with an atma's than a fully stacked warmogs will, and mantheon doesn't have much trouble sticking to his enemies.
[[Madred's Bloodrazors] - These suck in general, and only should be situationally built on on-hit champs (pantheon isn't one of those champs)
Hextech Gunblade this item used to be great on mantheon, but now that it seriously lacks adequate AD, I'd avoid it.
Sword of the Occult/ Leviathan/ Mejai's Soulstealer - These items shouldn't be bought outside of bot games, they won't help you at all in an actual game.
Aegis of the Legion - Great item, get it if you don't have a support for whatever reason.
Hexdrinker - So your dumbass AP carry fed karthus? Get one of these.
Black Cleaver - You aren't an auto attacker, don't get this
Wit's End - AN AMAZING ITEM, but not for pantheon, you don't auto attack enough to keep the stacks on it up.
Sunfire Aegis - Not a very good item anymore, leave it for people like Amumu and [Renekton]] who have AoE damage built into their kits
Zeke's Harbinger - Once again, you don't auto attack enough for attack speed to be useful.
Manamune - You really shouldn't get this item, it's a crutch item and easy to do without as long as you properly manage your mana.
Chalice of Harmony - Same as manamune
Spirit Visage - Ehh, it's ok on pantheon, but shouldn't be an item you get too much.

Don't build AP oriented items on panth, they suck on him, same with crit chance & attack speed , once again, those stats suck on him.

Skill Sequence

Skill sequence is fairly simple.

Spear Shot, this is your bread and butter, use it mainly to poke and kill creeps that normally would be unreachable, but don't use it every time it's up or you WILL go out of mana.

Aegis of Zeonia, this is your gap closer + CC, use it to get close to their AD carry, or use it to escape a gank by leaping to the person furthest away from where you're headed to juke the enemy.

Heartseeker Strike, ok the numbers on this ability look weak, but you have to factor in that it deals double damage to champions and strikes them 3 times in about 1 second, that is devastating. Don't forget its passive is amazing for securing kills, it makes all of your auto attacks and your Q and E crit the enemy if they're below 15% health!

Grand Skyfall this ult is not used for it's damage, but more for its quick transportation across the map, it allows you to farm and then hop straight to a teamfight halfway across the map and take the enemy by surprise. If you use it to gank, try to land out of sight of the enemy, but in their escape path forcing them to either:
-Blow a summoner spell
-Fight you
-Fight your teammate
You can also use this ability in a teamfight where the enemy team is clustered by either an ult ( Galio, Amumu] and [[Sona to name a few) or poor positioning to get a free nuke on them, or you can use it to move straight to their AD carry in a spread out teamfight without having to go through the enemy bruisers.

Summary

So this is basically the end of the guide and where I tell you to upvote and comment and don't downvote until you've tried the build and whatnot.
I will update this when I have more time, but I'm busy trying to get into college so my time is scarce.
Please let me know what you think of my build!
Also please point out my spelling & grammar errors that I have missed in my proof readings!
