Hello and welcome to my Wukong Guide.

At first let me tell you something about how Wukong and I met. It wasn't love at first sight. When the spotlight released my first thought was "Oh my god - What a moron". But then I watched it again and again and I fell in love with Wukong. I'm so glad that he came out.

1. Description

   
   In the Plague Jungles, Kong ruled as king. He could wield a unique, natural form of magic and he was driven by zealous ambition. The Plague Jungles were the ideal setting for fostering his growth - he thrived on challenges and flourished in adversity. However, when he had surmounted every obstacle and defeated every opponent, he grew restless. Worried that there was nothing left to overcome, he sought counsel with the monkey sage who lived behind the Grand Waterfall. The sage told him a tale of hairless monkeys to the north who, with wits and strength, bent the world to their will. Kong was overjoyed at the prospect of such worthy competition, and he immediately set out to the north, hoping that the sage's story was true.
   
   Traveling north, he crossed the Southern Wastes and then the Great Barrier. Unaware of the League, he arrived outside the Institute of War where he found Master Yi in meditation. Kong was eager to test the strength of these northern warriors, so he challenged Yi to a duel. Intrigued by Kong, Yi decided to humor him. Within moments of his first strike, Kong knew he was no match for Yi. To be the best, he would need a mentor. He asked Yi to take him as a pupil and to show him the wonders of the northern lands. In return, he would honor Yi by becoming the greatest warrior Runeterra had ever seen. Admiring his passion, Yi agreed, but only under the condition that Kong would one day teach the lessons of Wuju to a pupil of his own. In the spirit of this agreement, he renamed Kong ''Wukong'', and gave him a weapon suited to his unusual nature - an enchanted staff that the young Doran had crafted. The weapon was an unrivalled masterpiece. After rigorous training, Wukong joined the League of Legends to fulfill his promise and show the world the true power of Wuju.

2. Skills

   
   
   Crushing Blow (Q-Skill)
   
   Wukong swings his mighty staff with incredible speed, crushing his opponent. This attack deals additional physical damage and reduces the enemy's Armor for a short duration.
   
   This one is awesome! The mana costs are very low and it deals more damage. I don't think I'll have to explain the use of this Skill

   Decoy (W-Skill)
   
   Wukong utilizes his cleverness to trick his foes. He becomes stealthed for 1.5 seconds and leaves an uncontrollable decoy behind that will deal Magic Damage to enemies near it after 1.5 seconds.
   
   Your best friend if you like harrasing your enemy. Jump in using Nimbus Strike and get away with this little thing. Also it gives u some nice surviving abilitys. If you get caught alone, use it to reach a bush for example

   Nimbus Strike(R-Skill)
   
   Wukong dashes on a cloud toward a target enemy and sends out images to attack up to 2 additional enemies near his target, dealing physical damage to each enemy struck.
   
   This is good to harasse your opponent. Also it's helpfull if you have to fight agains many minions or if you're in a teamfight

   Cyclone(R-Skill)
   
   Wukong's staff grows outward and he spins it around, dealing damage and knocking up enemies. Wukong gains movement speed over the duration of the spell.
   
   This Ultimate gives you some usages. If someone tries to towerdive you, activate it. It'll knock him up in the are while the turret is shoting at him. Or you're able to get away due you're moving faster. But I don't recommend wasting your Ultimate on getting away. Use Warrior Trickster. Another nice use: It's good for teamfights because it damages everyone around you.

Berserker's Greaves Gives you some nice attack speed. And your walking speed is increased.

Trinity Force The ultimate Item for Wukong. It gives you everything you need. Ability power, attack speed, crit chance, health and mana.

Phantom Dancer Also is very nice. More attack speed and crit chance.

Bloodthirster Dying fast is bad. High attack damage is good. Combining lifesteal and attack damage and attack speed makes you very cool.

Infinity Edge Gives you more critical strike damage.

As you maybe recognized the sixth Item is missing. HAHA!

So if you're playing against a team out of tanks take Last Whisper because of some nice armor penetration.

If you think you're dieing too much, why don't you take Guardian Angel because getting back after dieing rocks!

---

Do you want to get more life and slow the enemy just by hitting them? [[Frozen Mallet] is your best friend!

---

If there are Mages, get Banshee's Veil or Wit's End to get more magic resist.

---

Some cooldown reduction? Youmuu's Ghostblade is the answer.

---

Do you want some attack damage and some attack speed? Black Cleaver gives you that and some armor penetration.

---

If you're playing against a team with very many crowd control champions, buy Mercury's Treads instead of Berserker's Greaves. Yeah, your attack speed isn't very high but you wont be stunned/slowed/feared and so on for too long. Also your attack speed is increased after you attack with Nimbus Strike.

Thats basicly it.

Nimbus Strike at level one gives you a few advantages. At first you're able to attack 3 minions by just one attack. Also it's an easy job to harras your enemys. I think we all can imagine why.
Crushing Blow is your most important skill. It deals more damage to the target you're actually attacking. That's why we'll max this Skill as fast as possible.
Decay makes your Harassment complete.


Alternative:

This one gives you the ability to deal much damage at level one. I would recommend this alternative if you're playing against squishy champions like Sona for example.

It's pretty easy to save allied players. Jump in using Crushing Blow and Decay away (awesome rhyme if you ask me). Normaly this guarantees that they're scared and run away or that they will attack you (not realy you but your double). Both is perfect.

Also you're able to harass your enemys. How? Read in the Chapter below.

If you're getting followed by some enemys, try to get away using Decay. But stay patience! Use it to get into bushes or to your enemys. You're invisible, yes, but only for 1.5 seconds.
After using this "trick" very often you maybe notice that your enemys are ignoring your double.
So why dont you let them think you're the double. Just press (S) to stop. It looks exactly like you're using Decay. So in theory the enemys will zhink that you used your famous W-Skill and are somwhere in a bush. But you never used it! You just pressed (S). If they recognize their fatal mistake just use Warrior Trickster.

But remember that this is very risky. Because some guys randomly attack your double. Which is good and bad for you.

If you're playing agains Mages (like Malzahar or Lux) try to attack them starting with Warrior Trickster. It's not only funny if Malzahar hits your double with his ultimate it is usefull as well. During the time of his ultimate he's very vulnerable. This is your advantage.

How am I harrasing my enemy? And what are my advantages?

At first your advantages.
Harrasing your enemys means attacking them over and over without getting them any (or little) hits on you. This makes sure that they're getting nerved after some time. Think back to Teemos Mushrooms. We all love them right? (No!)
And nerved enemys are good enemys. Because they will flame each other and so on.

But there is a big disadvantage as well.
You need lots of mana in order to use your skills all the time (and thats what you have to do).

So how do you do it?

Jump into your enemy using Crushing Blow and Decay away (I realy like that one!).
Just do this over and over and you can be sure that your enemy uses all his Health Potion which is good because if they got no Health Potion they have to "take the blue pill" (blink back into base) in order to get some life back. Nice time to farm for example.


If you want to harass it's important that you are maxing your Nimbus Strike at first.

Try this:

Dont use Teleport! Your walking speed is near 500 (something around 480). Even without Boots of Swiftness.

The two summoner spells I like to use are Ignite and Flash. Igniting enemys in early games nearly almost gurantees your kill.

Recommendable Summoner Spells:

Ghost

Flash

Heal

Flash

Ignite

Exhaust

You're able to combine them how you want to. But make sure to use at least Ghost or Flash to run away.

Better don't use

Summoner Spell (Why)

Clairvoyance (Needless for Wukong.)

Clarity (You wont need THIS much mana.)

Cleanse (Whereat this one isn't a complete "NO GO".)

Fortify (Are you a tank? I don't think so.)

Promote (Needless for Wukong.)

Rally (Needless for Wukong.)

Revive (Not needed.)

Smite (This is not a jungeling guide.)

Teleport (Needless for Wukong. Explained above.)

I'm using 22-0-8 Masteries.


If you want to use Ghost try this 15-0-15.


If you want to use Exhaust try this 15-0-15.

1. Greater Mark of Attack Damage 9x

More attack speed is good. And a little bit more attack damage is good as well.

This Runebuild gives you some aditional ability power and much much more attack damage. Which is awesome.

This one is giving you armor penetration. Which is usefull in early game.

... play Wukong AP?

Many of my friends thought (or still think) that it is an good idea to use AP items for Wukong. So let me tell why this idea sucks realy bad.

The first and main negative point is, that only one ability ( Decay) uses ability power. The other ones stack up with attack damage. Also I think it's an bad idea. You'll have to wait extremly long to kill an enemy (even if your abilitys would stack up with ability power) due your cooldowns.

... go mid?

Playing Wukong as a mid champion isn't good. Let's take a look at his passive. If there are more enemy champions around your armor and magic resist is higher.
Also I think Wukong needs a good lanemate. Otherwise he's not able to deal this much damage.
My favourite is Nocturne. But make sure you're able to talk to them.

You may think Wards aren't usefull due they cost too much. Well.. you are wrong. 75g is not much. You're doing you and your team a bif favor if you are using those things.

There are two different types of wards.

Sight Ward

So this is the cheaper version. It's helpful to see if you're getting ganked or to spot out important places like Baron Nashor, the Dragon or different buffs.




Badass invisible unit conter ( Evelynn for example). It makes their "awesome" stealth skills useless as long as you stay in the radius.
Also I like them more than Oracle's Elixir because they're cheaper and they wont get away when you're dead.

  This Sight Ward covers your bottom or top lane (picture: bottom lane). You're able to avoid getting ganked without knowing it ( normally this makes sure that you'll get away).
  
  
  This Sight Ward covers the Mana Buff. Also it avoid getting ganked and you're able to see if someone is stealing your Buff. And you can kill him!
  
  
  This Sight Ward avoids ganks from nearly all directions (top lane).
  
  
  This Sight Ward covers the Lizard Buff. Also you're able to see if someone is getting the Buff.
  
  
  This Sight Ward avoids getting ganked on mid lane. You're able to set another one on the opposing bush.
  
  
  This Sight Ward avoids getting ganked on bot lane. Helpful if you want to blink back with low life and someone trys to tower dive you.
  
  
  This Sight Ward covers the whole area around the Baron (and the Baron itself).
  
  
  This Vision Ward makes stealth skills useless (top lane).
  
  
  This Vision Ward makes stealth skills useless (mid lane).

Also I want to say that I am from Germany. So there could be some weird sentences. Please don't rape my English this hard. ;-)
