I find it easier to deal with her squishiness. With Zyra, Soraka, or Nami you have to hit the right peel spells to stop taking damage, but with Sona, everything's auto-target except for the ultimate. It feels so good to pull off the Diminuendo and end up ruining their burst.
Pick someone with easy to land hard-CC against her, like Annie. It's hard to explain, but basically: disrupting her spell timing is one of the most important things when fighting her. If she can't pull out her buffs when they need them most, it's a job well played.
