Thank you for the constructive criticism. This my first Mobafire guide, so any feedback is great. Your points on Nashor's Tooth and Heal were very helpful, and I totally agree with them. I've changed the guide accordingly. However, I think that Rod of Ages is an item that is still very practical in many aspects. I completely respect your opinion, but let's agree to disagree.

Your guide is still relatively new so I'm going to hold off voting.

So firstly, Heal on a midlaner is almost completely pointless. If you feel like you're going to be under pressure and need to survive burst go with Barrier instead.
Optimally you want to run Ignite. This single spell can make a huge difference in laning, especially when going for trades, and Azir practically specializes in trading autoattacks.

On the point of trading autoattacks, I would recommend Ionian Boots of Lucidity. Although it's comparable to Sorcerer's Shoes, it should still be put out as an option.

Nashor's Tooth. Ugh. You don't have to build it, but saying nope to this item completely is going overboard. I get that you don't fully utilize the passive, but it pretty much give every other stat that you need.

Lastly, Rod of Ages is a big nope. You don't need a giant mana pool because your mana costs are dirt cheap. (as a malzahar player i envy this)
