W+E with that passive seems kinda strong with how hard those counter attacks hit if they get the bonus AD from E

the weird wording made it sound like Udyr would counter attack with a basic attack my bad (pls spare me grammar nazis)

That udyr R, the ylt version deals more damage than Kat's ult
If he procs his effect 3 times during 5 second: 1375 (+380% AP) in area and bonus(+600% total AD) against a single tagget while kat deals 750 (+250% AP) (+375% bonus ad) in area. While udyr needs longer time, if he is interrupted, at least he is still useful with another skills

The ultimate version of his R, does that make all the other abilities obsolete while he is in phoenix stance or can he do some sick stance merge? Can he actually cast the other abilities at all while in phoenix stance?

Purist version is intnetionally the same as live phoenix stance. The ulti version was design to make Udyr choose uber AoE damage over his other stances for awhile.
