Yeah I think that if you just max q then take a second point in e --> max w second then you would be better off considering you get some amount of CDR for your e and you can still max your w for the dmg and the move=speed buff.

Yeah I think that he meant 1600 instead of 600 lol. Personally if you have 1675 gold then you should be getting pick-axe + avarice lol, unless you have enough for B.F. and avarice

Personally, if you were looking for more of a mid lane, caster-type champion out of Lucian and you took CDR to ensure that he was the caster you are looking for then Essence Reaver would definitely be more useful than Blood Thirster

The reason SS is built is because Lucian's double shot will help stack its passive as well as his movement that comes from his relentless pursuit(e).

I'm pretty confident to say in the current meta that you should, if money allows, first back for pick-axe and rush an avarice. Then after you pick up your avarice you can finish out the IE and keep the avarice all the way until you finish your second item which will almost always be statik shiv. Keeping the avarice helps you not only have an item towards your second item but it's passive gets you ahead of the other laner ESPECIALLY if you are only farming in the lane.
