Read the comment, try to comprehend the tone, and maybe you'll get the same vibe as I'm getting.
Or I'm just that pessimistic, narcissistic, misanthropic, jerk who always finds flaws in everything and everyone but himself for the sole reason that he doesn't have any.
...
Or both.
...
I'm still right though.

Because this “apology” is about as forced as the Versailles Treaty and as sincere as the famous line “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”
Well, I'm sorry about your bruised cerebrum, but I still don't think it was called for.
Plus, I don't think anyone would be happy if they were backed into a corner, but at least he said something to try and rectify the situation instead of making it worse. *pointedlook*
Made this sig myself :)

Apologies are nice, thanks for that, but I, personally, find it a little annoying when people just deflect the actual discussion constantly because they don't want to deal with the problem. Apologizing doesn't get this topic anywhere and there still hasn't been an actual concrete reason given for why they chose this over some other change. Even if it's as simple as "balancing takes forever and hardly anyone shows up so why bother?" at least that'd be honest.

It's all healed now, hunnybuns, thanks. Well, there's lasting damage but they can't fix it, as a result I am who I am; normal gamer during the day, normal gamer during the night – you expected that I'd be a crime fighter right? Well got you! Also, I can be wrong, but I don't think anyone in this thread asked you to think on this and give your opinion without reading the thread. However, keep up the stupid stuff, it really makes my day! :^)

You could just say nothing and/or actually try to contribute, instead of letting everyone moving past it as quickly as possible; it's a neat trick but I feel like I should point that out. All we wanted is a normal discussion, not a “We should've told you this sooner, but now let's forget it and be friends. Okay? Also, we will still do what I want.”
Also, just mentioning for future encounters, their happiness is literally none of my concern at all; that's their problem.

The only reason why I dropped by this thread because I saw Maintained had apologized in the Activity Feed, and I know from experience (and I'm pretty sure everyone does) how difficult apologizing could be. I decided to stay when you (rather rudely, I may add) laughed at his apology like it was nothing more than a joke. In all honesty, it is not me who's circle-jerking back toward's Maintained's comment about Nameless' contribution to the idea.
If you want my two cents, here it is: The entire problem revolves around this system being a popularity contest, no? Well once everyone is picked onto different teams, let the refs do their jobs and balance if they think it's too one-sided. This way, it combines the new idea, which allows people to play with who they wish to (whether it be because of personal relations or more practical ones, such as rank), with the old system where the refs had the power to ultimately decide who goes where. Yes, it is like a high school gym class, as Nameless brought up, but in this case, the old farts we call the PE teachers will actually be doing something to make sure it's not the jocks versus the nerds.

I tried explaining it, but I mistook your response for an aggressive one which is the reason why I reacted so negatively. I should have probably taken a deep breath or two before making a response, but unfortunately, I can't change the past. :\
