I really don't understand why this guide hasn't more upvotes. how disturbing the idea of jungle zed sounds at first it plays amazingly easy. i´m just playing medium gold but it feels like i counter every lane. i also tried a 12/18/0 build but it didn't work out as good as 18/12/0

Early levels are rough but after that it's pretty nice. I'm not 100% sure about DFT vs TLD. TLD is better in lane because you can proc it a lot. But I think later DFT is much better.

i really have to thank you again. my mid zed never was as good as my jungle zed is now. mid gold elo. he is so forgiving. even if you are behind just farm up and adc and squishys still have to piss their pants. OH you have a lot of hp but no armor just lay down i'll make it guick.

Same pattern as Kha'Zix. Even when behind you melt the squisies. While Kha is a better opportunist Zed can force someone to die. Which Kha can't do if they have help.

Nice build. I main Zed now (I'm not really good Zed player but I'm learning fast). Only thing that is bothering me is: "WTAF do you need Zephyr?" I mean I love it on Xin Zhao, but on Zed it is garbage 'cause it doesn't give that good stats for Zed = crit, 'cause you are not going to attack a lot with basic attacks (P.S. same for Statikk Shiv). And I suggest adding BOTRK to situational items 'cause it is much better against tanky team. And Blade Weaving mastery is really good because it will increase your Basic Attack dmg by 1% when you hit enemy champion (stacking up to 3 times). Zed is kinda spellcaster assasin. I mean he is not like Yasuo / Master Yi / Shaco / Rengar who really relies on Basic Attacks to be good.

To: Sentinel Hydra. Some junglers require a better leash than others. If you are having a hard time with your first clear, have bot lane leash harder so you take less damage. Make sure to ask them before it spawns so they know ahead of time. I have not updated this part of the guide yet because I didn't have any time this week between school and work D: (I hate myself),
but the new jungle path is, Bot lane camp, either golems or gromp, then buff, buff, gank top/back
If you are still having trouble you can start lifesteal quints, although I don't recommend that unless you have to because the extra AD really helps. I'll be testing more later to learn better optimization.

Taking Life Steal Quints should also be an option just so you have a bit of sustain in the jungle early on.

Sorry for not reading your comments guys, this is my first guide and I didn't even know that there was a second page of comments xD

In regards to the CDR question. Either will work, But my preference is for flat CDR, same reason why I use flat AD instead of armor pen. It is just better earlier to supplement his slightly weak early game.

Also I will be updating the guide once I understand the new jungling items and paths. I am still not sure what is truly best on Zed.
