I main Zed right now but I am only in Silver V, I saw this on a Diamond video guide and tried it out, I wanted to know what you think though :)

Hydra's only downside is its build path; compared to BoTRK's prerequisite of Cutlass, it weakens Zed's early game a little, and may make that level 6 all-in a little more difficult. However, once Zed has the Hydra, he can often be much more deadly than BoTRK, especially after the nerf to his attack speed. Currently, I am under the impression that Zed is much better with the Hydra (as it acts as another spell and helps reinforce his slightly weakened waveclear). If you think you can do well early and make up for the weaker Tiamat first, go for it!

Nice guide! I was wondering if ravenous hydra is a viable replacement for an experienced zed player for the extra damage output and wave clear. Or is BoTRK a go-to item? Thanks!
