Could be that I just need to clean my glass orb, but I don't see how this will suddenly make Shen FotM, definitely not in soloqueue.

I can see shen being a desirable pick in a protect the carry comp; he suits that composition better than other tanks like maokai and sion

we'll see. a few weeks ago I was wondering why Kog'Maw disappeared from the competitive scene and now you can see him again very often. maybe it will be the same with Shen :D

Yknow how strong and completly overpowered Shen once was? The things which made him so OP are still there.

He's still amazing (IMO) but TP becoming meta top lane made his niche less desirable.

I thought his issue was spamming e when using his ult bugged it, was this fixed?

Gives him more global pressure, you can safely splitpush and still be relevant as a teamfighter due to the shield, or you help gank bot or save a team mate without having to sacrifice a tower.
