also an e-w combo on a minion wave with wota and spellvamp runes is a sight to see.

also something ive found that works for me: if you use spellvamp runes you can make up for some of his weaknesses. you can also work in a 21/0/9 mastery build to get an extra point into spellvamp for a total of 7% (since you dont need runic blessing for blue buffs.) 1 early q with the 6-7% spellvamp can heal you for 10-20 hp each, and that adds up if you use hit and run tactics or passive farming. not only that but it makes it possible to start with a spellbook and 1 pot essentially making the item you choose first 415 gold cheaper. i like to turn that spellbook into a will of the ancients because the sustain you get between that and your runes is so big that ive actually managed to outsustain viktor harass pretty easily. the only problem is that this makes it a bit harder to justify abyssal scepter first since it doesnt require a spellbook. also worth noting that the 20 ap from spellbook probly adds more harass than a dorans blade if you can reliably hit your q.

pretty sure his passive no longer adds extra damage. just sayin.
