Don't worry, it's just this site has maintenance periods throughout the day, especially at 3am eastern time. If your guide doesn't save, just wait a minute and save again. As long as you don't leave or refresh your webpage, the new code you wrote down won't be lost. Just be patient and click the save button often, sometimes clicking the "publish" button will fix the "save" button if it is simply glitching.
Just for the love of god, don't refresh or leave your guide's code page or you WILL LOSE EVERYTHING (you've worked on since the last save).
I also recommend copy and pasting your code to a Word document just to back up your data in case the worst happens.

I cannot save my updates on my guide; the "SAVED" never pops up since yesterday.
