Angela Merkel let in over 1 million people without asking questions yet she won't let 1 guy who has a legitimate work visa.
Germany is pretty much the only country that does not recognize eSports competitors as athletes so they don't get the same Visa as they would in any other country

Also, what's the nature of the problem, what kind of visa are we talking about here, and why do they even need it in the first place?
Russia is not part of the Shengen agreement and after all the sanctions imposed there is no free travel, you simply can't work/travel to the EU without a visa. In this case, he needs a work visa which he apparently did not get.
Also Moon you're just ******ed if you really think they don't ask questions. I'm fine if you have a different political preference but you're just sprouting nonsense right now. A significant chuck of asylum seekers are rejected and only those from 'unsafe' countries (Syria, Eritrea) are accepted.

Yup, Germany is a autocracy.

That still doesn't really explain what the exact problem is though.

Forgot about that. Not sure why he wouldn't get it though.

Isn't the difference now that he is now required to get a work visa?
I am sure that he would have had to get a work visa before the sanctions too.

Nah, EU is garbage, USA is great, the German's were behind it all along, and Russia did nothing wrong.

Wasn't he on a schengen visa before and now is required to get a work visa and the issue is that Germany doesn't see esports as being an athlete/job?
AM I NOT READING THE SAME REDDIT THREAD AS EVERYONE ELSE???

Yes, that's very ****ed up, because migrants and refugees are actually the same as this... I am all for pointing out ridiculous laws, rulings, procedures, etc. but here I don't see it.
