I've always played Ahri as an assassin over anything else and my favorite version of her was when she had the damage amp on Charm, so it'll be cool to see it back. Even if they choose to go with a version without the damage amp, she's trading movespeed for damage which I'll take any day.
I think she'll end up being over-tuned tbh, but I won't be complaining :^)
Also, looks like it's being delayed til 8.7 or later.
Did you really? Or are you just pretending you did to have an excuse to comment to farm raffle points?
I would get thunderlord's because it is insanely easy to proc with Ahri because of how her spells worked and i'd be really strong in the lane phase, but what i've been experimenting with is getting storm raider's surge against unfavorable match ups like Leb because in these cases you don't play so aggressively so you don't proc thunderlord's, but when you have to you'd rather run away and if you can still fight after the trade the movement speed will let you do that too, also having that speed for me is defiantly better in later game team fights over the single target extra damage of thunderlords so I wonder. Storm over Thunderlord's in unfavorable match ups?
Something like your Double Edged vs. Bounty Hunter
Ahri don't really need such a thing, your q move speed makes up for it and your R permit you to escape/chase as well, finally you've got a slow on your E. In case of bad match ups playing around those spells is more than enough to trade or make a quick escape. As long as your R is up, you should normaly be relatively safe. And so in the end, i feel like stormraider is overkill on Ahri, since she already got plenty of mobility with her kit, and taking it over thunderlord lower her potential rather then when she has it. Try to one shot someone without the bonus of thunderlord you'll really have to touch ALL of your spells to do it. While without, a squishy can go down without even needing the E, sometimes.
I ain't Ferret, but here yeh go.
