What do you think about adding a little of damage to the build?

Alas I’ve tried many versions of adding any amount of damage, and it just falls flat every time. This makes sense to some extent; using the abilities for their utility is usually mutually exclusive with using them for damage. You kind of have to pick one or the other.

Hello Aqua Dragon. The guide is good, and i'm pretty sure it still is with the new changes, but what about the new cosmic drive? I'ts still worth building it?

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you! After taking the last month to experiment, I think there's a place for it, though it's more niche than it was previously was since there's almost always something more specific I'd rather have instead (until like, the last two items). I'll be updating the guide very soon.

Awesome breakdown of what to do in each phase of the game. Really helped me understand how to use her better as a Support VS a Mid laner. Good guide!

Great build, but I slightly disagree with the runes. I personally use Sorcery + Resolve, the opposite what you do. It changes Guardian and Font of Life into Aery and Gathering Storm.

That's actually what I used before, interestingly enough. It's noted under the runes section. I think it's a powerful style in its own right, but over time I found myself less impressed by Aery's shielding and didn't find as much value out of its shield procs to make it feel as worthwhile as I'd like.

I feel like seraph second with an early tear is a must. Ori as a champion can spam abilities extremely fast and, as your guide says, she's very mana hungry and as a support your job is mostly to stay behind buffing your team, I find myself constantly going oom in fights without it

To some extent, as you get more experience on Ori Sup, you waste fewer and fewer spells, meaning you become more efficient with your mana.

So what I've found is that while I struggled initially without tear, nowadays I have pretty much exactly just enough mana for every fight without tear.

I think tear is just okay, if excessive, but even if purchased, there's no need to upgrade it to Archangel until the very end, since Orianna Support doesn't make as much use out of the raw AP that much compared to just having utility items.

I just made my own account on MobaFire to write up a SuppOrtianna™ guide, and I stumbled upon this one! It's cool to see other people are finding success with SuppOrtianna. I first started playing her as support waaaaaay back when Windseeker's Blessing first came out. One day I said "hey, Windseeker's Blessing armor/mres + Orianna E armor/mres would be pretty strong" and it sure as hell was. Years later and SuppOrtianna still kickin butt. While our playstyle and intent with Orianna seems to be identical, our builds are completely different. If you're interested I will notify you once I finish writing it up. Maybe we can discuss some stuff and give each other feedback?

That's pretty cool! May want to wait for the new items first; on Wednesday all guides will be somewhat outdated so don't put too much effort atm

Yeah I realized that shortly after posting this comment. Sad to see Athene's go as that was a core of my build. But some of the new items looks pretty neat! Gonna have to do some testing.

I am not a fan of Orianna, but I will probably share this guide with some friends who play Orianna, I have checked few of your guides before and they are useful, so I am pretty sure that those who play her will find her useful... Thank you so much for the effort :>

Hi there aqua.

Ive used your guide to do orianna support. This comes with a small bump tho those who want to do it. It is considered a troll pick(lack of knowledge) so if your playing orianna support dont show your pick untill you have your pick phase...

Here is my stats atm as orianna support:
15 ranked played. 12 wins 3 losses. 1.7 kills 4,7 deaths 15.1 assists.(silver elo tho)
9x armour marks
7x flat health seals
2x flat armour seal
2x flat armour quint
1x flat health quint
6x flat MP5 glyphs
3x flat magic resist glyphs

These runes give me the opportunity to become tanky early with alot of mana regen to harras early at lvl 1. add this to your shield and command attack back and forth its chunks alot out of the enemies. Not only that but to use the ball as a zone in bushes etc for vision.

Having orianna support was most fun and it did me good.

Some items I always get tho. As you said aqua you dont need ap to become a utility.
These items I pretty much always get. sighstone,boots of ludicity, ardent censer, locket of solari, mikels crucible.
This combo is just so good and quite cheap. all is situational when I buy it but. I think of it like this.
My shield will now give: Given in roughly estimates
Health 324+(levels and ap and other buffs)
Armour 10-30+5-22
Magic Resist 10-30+2.5-11
Movement Speed 20-40%
On hit dmg 30
Attack speed 15%
4.95 sec cdr on shield at rank 5 while the utility last for 4.0 second(some of it even more) so it basicly mean you have a spammable steroid to whoever needs it.

Dang congrats on the progress! I've been building a lot of similar choices; my past couple of Ori games have seen me getting Talisman, Locket, Mikaels, Ardent, Zekes, Iceborn... there's so much situational utility to choose between, making support one of the trickiest things to feel confident that a correct choice was made. It's pretty fun!
