Story of the day is Van Niekerk's world record in the 400m race, though.
P.S. I mostly follow basketball. Team USA are the great favorites(as always) but for the first time in years they seem to be pretty vulnerable, too
If you are simply comparing Bolts win to Van's win + record breaker then you are right, however, no Olympic athlete has ever accomplished what Bolt did last night. He is the first track athlete in Olympic history to win three gold medals in one event and it's highly unlikely we'll see it again. Personally, I think that's a massively better achievement than breaking a world record especially when considering Bolt already has the sprint world record :D
Don't get me wrong though, what Van Niekerk's did was also very amazing, but what Bolt has accommplished with his win last night trumps everything. It was undeniably one of the greatest moments in Olympic history and I'm very glad I got to witness it live :)
I can't take back the words I never said
And that's a wrap! GB managed to get 2nd and hold it to the end, but no chance in hell we, or anyone for that matter were catching USA :D
Was a very entertaining Olympics overall, I don't usually watch any but I'm glad I did this year!

I thought the eu parliment tweet was a joke lol.
also the uk is part of the eu until the negotiations after triggering article 50 are done, so I am not sure why they are complaining about being part of that graphic
