i just wanna say thank you so much! sivir is one of my bot mains and as a rather new player, your insight is really appreciated. i can't wait to try out your suggestions in contrast to what i've been building/doing previously. looking forward to reading your tristana guide too, since she coincidentally is my other main bot pick hehe

Just wanted to know your opinion on Manamune on Sivir, she seems mana hungry enough seem like a valid option.

Hey, I've played some Sivir with minor success. I wanted to get your take on it. I understand she's the push queen, but during lane phase, any time we get engaged on or my sup engages (I state in chat I just want to farm it out), if I haven't hit any q's prior, I just want to back off because I feel like she lacks in damage vs any other adc i'm up against. In team fights I find it especially hard trying to time a w so that I can hit the closest enemy and hit the back line. Idk, besides a couple of games where I feel like I was just a better player understanding the lane, it feels like Sivir is just straight lacking. Idk if I want to continue playing her lol.

It depends entirely on what the matchup is, if you're vs then sure, you do less damage than him, but if the support matchup is vs and the fight starts with a hook onto Janna, then there's a very good chance that you guys can burst her down before Draven can do anything. There is no blanket rule for how an ADC should play, whether they should focus on farming or fighting, it just depends.

Sivir was a bit on the underwhelming side before but she just got a really good buff on 10.10, her E now restores 30 more mana per cast. She has strong enough spells to succeed in lane, she's just sucked in lane ever since they hit her mana costs too hard for her to use them too frequently. So long as you're able to block spells with she should be a lot better now in that regard, so I suggest sticking with her for a little bit longer to see if you find her any better.

On the beggining of the guide it shows Conqueror, but the runes being suggested later on are Fleet Footwork and Lethal Tempo? Which one is it, then?

Hey, sorry about that, for now I'm leaning towards Conqueror. For future reference, the bit at the top is the cheat sheet which is the quickest and easiest part of a guide to update by far, when I start updating guides I always start off with the cheat sheet, so whenever you see a conflict between the cheat sheet and the written guide, always refer to the cheat sheet.

With the preseason changes I haven't even gotten round to even beginning to update the cheat sheet of most of my guides, so it'll be a while before I get to address the text for this guide, just taking it one at a time with cheat sheets then once that's done I'll have to take it one at a time to update texts too. Pretty gargantuan task, so I'm making sure not to pass off any guides as being 9.23 updated at least until the cheat sheet is done at a minimum.

So why does no one seem to take press the attack when it's so quickly applied with the auto attack reset? the damage it does is really good for trading in lane and then it allows your entire team to focus down a target better in team fights.

She's too short-ranged to abuse it unfortunately, even isn't using it despite it becoming a lot stronger on her after they gave her back her auto-reset, and she has 100 more range than Sivir. Additionally you'll often be using your reset on minions to shove so it's not always up when you'd otherwise have the opportunity to use it.

I'm confused. The top of your guide says to pick Fleet Footwork, but later on, you say to pick Press the Attack instead. Which is it???

Vapora usually updates the cheatsheet quickly when the meta shifts and sometimes takes more time to update parts of the body of the guide. I'd rely on the cheatsheet if there's a discrepancy.

Have you tried going into Resolve For Iron Skin & Second Wind? I really like Second Wind because it feels like you have a doran's Shield, and coupled with 5 armor from Iron Skin makes trades easier.
