Gonna be using this thread to keep track of my progress in ranked solo queue this season. Ending in Gold V in Season 6 is something I'm pretty disappointed in myself for, and this time I'm going to be aiming for at least Plat III Diamond, I guess.

Past Ranks: Silver I S3, Gold III S4, Gold III S5, Gold V S6

Current Progress!

Main Roster
Mid: whatever
Jungle: tanks and Kha'Zix

Autofill Roster

Game #49

This game started poorly and only got worse as it went on. Blitzcrank gave first blood to Karma when they invaded, and she used her item advantage from first blood gold to fight me whenever she had all three of her basic abilities up. She forced me out of lane fairly often and kept me from ganking as much as I would have liked. Lack of pressure from Vi and our bot lane allowed their Bard to roam with Hecarim for much of the game while Ezreal was able to safely farm 1v2. In the end they got a clean ace on us from their bot inhibitor, and thanks to movespeed from Karma they were able to walk all the way to mid and end the game from it.

Was intending to pick Katarina this game, but our top laner grabbed her instead just before I got to pick. Overall, I'd say things worked out better this way. Their top laner was Vladimir and got first blooded at level 2, and the Katarina just snowballed from there. Mid against Annie went well for me; I was able to keep her constantly shoved in while still avoiding ganks from Olaf and getting good ganks of my own off. We got a double kill top at around 9 minutes and took first tower from it, and snowballed the game from there.

I'm just gonna say that this match hurt to play and leave it at that. The less I think about it the sooner I can move on.

Now that my computer's actually working again, I can finally go back to updating this thread.

@ FatelBlade: I have not been doing any vod review, mostly because the new client runs horribly on my computer and replays only work through it IIRC. I should really use one of the third party sites for it at the very least, though.

Hey it's time to play my first ranked game in weeks let's see how it g

All around awful play from all five people on our team. I picked up first blood ganking Akali, but ended up dying in the process. From there I was going to clear a couple camps for a level and gank top again, but by that point Camille had already died to a Sejuani gank, and Akali just snowballed from there. Managed to get a few kills onto our bot lane from ganking there, but in the end we couldn't stop the Akali from murdering everything, nor the Gangplank who apparently got massively fed when nobody was paying attention.

Gonna review the vod of this game and go over the mistakes I made, then probably edit this post after it's done.

EDIT: After reviewing the vod, the biggest issue I've noticed is that I tend to overcommit ganks. Whenever I died outside of a teamfight it was because I kept going for a kill during a gank when I should really just back off; three of my first four ganks had me dying because of this.

Not much to say about this one; forced Singed to use Ghost before minion spawn so he was easy to kill for first blood, and we just snowballed the game from there. LeBlanc ragequit after the fourth death, so that made things easier still.

Same story, really. We picked up first blood on Jarvan IV in an invade, Jax and Ahri snowballed, Jarvan IV was very behind all game due to counterjungling, Ezreal ragequit after a few deaths, etc.

A similar story once again. I got first blood + double kill very early after Lee Sin botched a level 2 gank mid. I snowballed incredibly hard from there, but we spent most of the midgame ****ing around instead of ending it, and Leona disconnected for 10 of the last 15 minutes of the game, so we ended up going late and started to struggle in teamfights. A lucky pick on Ryze won us the game though, as without him we could actually teamfight and win.
