Btw, is there a reason not to go Deathcap? Is it less effective than the other items in the build?
Deathcap is a good item especially with the AP bonus passive but should only be built when going full glass cannon. This would mean you would be likely to sacrifice very useful passive/defensive items such as a hydra item or a spirit visage etc. You have to be pretty confident when building that as a result, and I did not include it in my build since people would be new to it and the regeneration version of the build is what makes it so OP. But as the items list mentions in a note, this build is so super versatile that almost any item works for Warwick quite literally. So my guide is here to highlight the potential Warwick has in damage to one shot while healing enough to become un-killable. Therefore, people will have items they prefer more or suits their own play-style more so feel free to change the build around as you feel comfortable. However, I would always recommend sticking to gunblade and a hydra item as gunblade is critical for damage and healing while a hydra is very important for farming as Warwick kinda sucks at it with only single target auto attacks and spells.
Hope this helped!
I highly recommend giving it a go. Especially if you like playing mid lane, if you see a melee mid laner, pop this out and you will be surprised by how hard you can destroy them. Since most melee mids are assassins, your E will pretty much negate their burst while also putting a nice CC on them. Your Q + R + gunblade at this point with electrocute is likely to kill their squishy champs quite easily afterwards ^^
Good luck on the field! I am certain this build can bring quite the entertainment ;)
Aprovado
If you wanna be unkillable choose the tank path but if you wanna one shot poor scrubs go damage :)
Hope this helped!
I always back at 1050g and buy sheen, then if im doing well i get LB and if im struggling i get spirit visage or zhonyas depending on what im struggling against. Also DFG is amazing since you can just bite your lane opponent every time he comes near you and profit from the dfg dmg as well. dorans ring start is really good as well since it solves his early mana issues and makes your Q hit harder. once you have your LB and protobelt plus boots (lucidity usually) you can choose what to build depending on how the game is going, either get spirit visage since your doing tonnes of dmg already or if your ahead get a rabadons or ludens.
i agree that gunblade can be a good item but it leaves you so squishy you will die anytime you get ganked, whereas proto gives you escape potential and dat health pool.
might be an idea to try straight ap quints as well since it also increases your life received and your damage done rather than lifesteal quints which only provide sustain. switch merciless for meditation and grab that dorans ring start and watch your opponents tears as they trade with your and do zero damage and take over 130 every time you bite them. you can also just bite a minion on cooldown with the amount of mana regen you have against champs like teemo who will stay at range pre 6 and poke you like the stupid rat he is.
Melee champs are a joke since you can just bite them and back away and let your dfg do some work, if they chase you up to even up the trade just chuck on your e and fear them away while running to your tower, get in another cheeky Q if its off cd by this point and you come out ahead in every trade.
Often you can get a lvl 2 kill if they initiate on your by fearing them through your minion wave since you fear their minions away from yourself, people really underestimate the damage you can do with your Q and even your autos since that magic damage per auto really adds up.
For other item builds, I do tend to not actually go full AP at times and go with the tanky options such as gauntlet off of sheen, for cdr, armor, mana and the slow passive.
Finally, when it comes to DFT (not DFG Im assuming), it definitely does work, but I think I prefer the burst. As both of these masteries scale in a hybrid manner, one has increased damage over time, but one has a steroid burst with both that gets my enemies under half hp sooner. I find this more useful at late game as without the chase and attack speed bonus, you can be rather vulnerable if your Q and Ult are on cool down. In this manner, DFG is slower at bursting, while more viable in longer duels especially in lane.
It is like I have mentioned many times in both the guide and in other comments, this is a SUPER FLEXIBLE build. Pretty much everything works around my general idea and this is a very good thing as you can adapt to specific games in a much better fashion. For example, even if you buy protobelt, you can still go for a blade of the ruined king, as the attack speed and life steal are important aspects while it also keeps the active damage and slow. I like this active as I have simply lost count of how many people I have killed with the gun blade after running to them with ~700 move speed under their tower and just going *pew* from a safe range =)
Thanks for the ideas and suggestions! Hope my comment also kind of clarified how flexible this build is and how people will tend to go for their comfort items with it ^^
