I usually use the quick blades im not sure if you have tried them Vapora but they are really nice on Lucian especially late game, you will never not be shooting a Lightslinger pretty much and you will shred people and your E dash comes back really really fast. But I don't play him adc, I hate adc. I play him Jungle and top.

This is a great guide, thank you for putting it together! I'm a huge fan of marksmen and, like a lot of folks probably, this Pulsefire event is my first intro to Lucian and I'm having a great time trying him out, and this guide just put the fun to a new level. Thank you!

Damn this is an awesome guide,it just has so much content, I read it between matches, during champ select etc. Have been doing this all day and still have not went through everything.

I dont know if anybody will see this, but Zac support is super good with Lucian and nobody talks about that.

So isn't the new Essene reaver something Lucian has waited for his whole life lmao? Why not put it in every build? It's also a great second item after IE since Tons of AD. What do you think?

Bork build was stronger before ER was reworked and it still is now. You can optionally use ER as your 6th item in the Bork build but using a more defensive item like GA or BT is more common.

There's a chance ER might be a good 2nd item in the Bork build instead of Cleaver but I'm waiting to see more evidence of that before I make changes to the guide.

Solid guide, thanks for all the effort. I enjoy your guides, especially because you breakdown certain ability usages like Lucian's q here. Some things are obvious, but when picking up a new champ it helps to get reminded or told how to play more efficiently or intentionally

Please can you explain why thunderlord's isn't even considered at all on Lucian. Considering the mastery tree leading to thunderlord's ain't all that bad. I used to play Lucian like that just when i started learning him. Provides you with an even more ridiculous level 2 power spike, and a greater chance at first blood. Especially when they don't respect the early burst.

is indeed stronger in lane than . The issue is that outscales it HARD, by a large margin. It's not easy to see that because TLD does its damage in one big spike, while Fervor increases your damage by small amounts per auto-attack, but the increase is there, and it adds up real quick.

It's easier to see why Fervor is better than TLD when you compare their win-rates, and do the maths on how much damage Fervor would add in a late-game teamfight compared to TLD.

Makes much more sense. Think the early spike might occasionally be the better choice in case of difficult matchup. For instance vs Caitlyn, Lucian almost always gets snowballed out of lane and zoned away from farm by Cait. And she also has counter play for his engages. So in such a situation would you agree that TLD would be a better pick to prevent this? TLD would help him maintain the early game dominance that he is so famous for. Early game is his biggest strength, and Cait makes that very difficult to maintain. And fervor lacks the instant burst Lucian needs to bully a lane bully. Fervor becomes very useless when your engage is countered with a E>headshot forcing your retreat, and getting poked all the way back to safety. And we all know farmimg under turret vs Caitlyn is very irritating.

You can try and use TLD for this purpose and see how it works for you. Personally I don't think it makes a big enough difference in lane to compensate for the massive disparity out of lane. It would have to single handedly get you really ahead to be worth it.
