why would you max q if it doesnt increase heal?

Becouse my way to play is - "kill". Si i prefare to have dmg on save distance before going ing.
I've played against other Rakans in blind pick (in Draft they are always banned for now), and they pref to maximise "E". They put the shield on Xayah and... leave her to... TANK! That's **** becouse once we dodjed her stun we've 3 hard CC's to apply, and Rakan, in best case, have 2. Dodjing his W is super easy, so he've one cc left. Ofcouse they lose the line.
If i hit enemy with my bosoted Q, i see how they act. If they attack me, i go in and seccesfuly land my W. If they run back, i do not follow. Easy and safe gameplay with big damage and escapes.

you max e because you can give her a shield if she gets dived. You should be tanky enough to peel for her, so its ok. Overall, maxing q is ineffective also because of its range: you wont really get close enough to land it all that often. Compare it to maxing q on yas (so in other words, useless). Also, w is really hard to not land since the hitbox is insanely large

Everyone plays they way. Often i maximise E first. Dippends on enemy line and team situation. This game dipends on many things. Items arethe same. Shame to think i always build him this way.
