Shen Guide

Thanks for checking out the guide! I like the berserker greeves a lot on Shen. However, they are not necessary, but you will find yourself getting a lot more kills. Ghost and flash are super viable options also. Lets face it, how many times have you skirmished with shen and the enemy limps away with like 100 hp? This is why I recommend ignite. You are also arguably the tankiest person in the game. You should be able to E out of dangerous situations as u have a ton of HP and it takes a while to kill Shen. This guide is a serious for ranked solo laddering. Not just a "fun" build. In lower elo's you have to often times be a threaten the enemy team and be able to skirmish and stop (kill them) people from taking your turrets.
You may take magic resist runes (glyphs) if you want on Shen. It most certainly won't hurt. The thing is, Shen has a pretty high base MR as it is, and with the items he builds there is not typically much CDR in his kit. CDR will give you more ultimates and allow you to land more Q's, E's, and W's which will provide for more damage per second and help you save your teammates more often. This guide is new and I will keep adding to it. I will get some match history and screen shots up ASAP. Hope that the guide serves you well!

I totally agree on the CDR runes, I think they are necessary on Shen, I just was confused by the lack of magic resistance in that build. I see your point now, it's true it's one of the TOP 3 champs who has the most base MR.

Wits End is a good item, but the problem with building it, is that you lose HP in your build and it takes a BIG item slot. HP on Shen=survivability and damage. There are situations where Wits End is actually a really good item to consider. This situation would be if you are vs a lot of AP and you also have a lot of AP on your team. As far as building it for dmg, its kinds lackluster. If you are going to build attack speed on Shen, Berserker Greaves are the cheapest and give you the most bang for your buck. If you do not care for the Attack speed, then I would probably alter the build and put some attack speed in your runes and then you can just go with the other boots. Keep in mind that you do not have to build any attack speed and you can still do well. The attack speed helps a lot with you clear. Clear gets you that goed faster! I have built Shen AP assassin, AD assassin, full attack speed, full tank, tank without boots (great for late game stalemates, buy an elixir!), and many other ways. This is the best build that will enable you to carry successfully and win over 50% of the time. No items are necessarily a bad choice. All are situational.
