That used to be pretty fun :D
Yeah I mean if they're already on top of your booty then you might wanna have barrier, whatever works best for you <3
I just play as Jerry (the mouse from Tom and Jerry) and always roll with exhaust and flash. I make sure they never get on my booty. It's really a cat and mouse game. Kinda like being an assassin, but instead of finding opportunities/moments to execute your enemies you dip in and out of situations to help your teammates with phat heals, silences and damage reductions.
I always say, whatever works best for you, roll with that. Forcing someone to play a certain playstyle doesn't work in their favour. It's just what I found myself working the best for me.
Have fun :D
How was Mordekaiser's room like, was it messy? Filled with metal band posters and electric guitars? Jokes aside XD Good job on escaping the Death Realm! He should've just went with Morellonomicon.. or Thornmail if your team was heavy on physical dmg.
All you gotta know is that the GW items apply 40% healing reduction. Both Chemtech Putrifier and Morellonomicon applies GW by dealing magic to the enemy champions, whilst Thornmail applies GW when champions auto attack the player with Thornmail.
All three of them can also increase the effect to 60%. For Chemtech Putrifier it's healing or shielding allies. For Morellonomicon they gotta be under 50% of their max hp. For Thornmail your enemies got to be immobilized.
There's not much you can do against anti-heal, it's a counter build item. Things you can do however is dodging abilities so that GW doesn't apply on you. That way atleast you still get full benefit out of the heals from landing Q's and using your R.
EDIT: As of patch 11.18 when using R, Grievous Wounds gets removed from all targets before applying the ultimate heal.
Hope that helps!
It'd be a blast hanging out with you <3
If anyone else reads this feel free to join aswell, everyone's more than welcome :D
So there are a couple of reasons why I don't like Redemption (on Soraka). First of all, it's got quite a bit of health (300) which scales pretty bad on Soraka, you want to avoid building health items as much as possible. I think that the hp regen and mp regen is okay for Soraka (in combination with Mikael's passive). The 10% cdr is kind of good and bad, if you wanted to build the item on Soraka you'd overcap on cdr which you don't want, thus you'd probably have to get rid of Ardent Censer, which in my opinion is a bad trade off, considering the amount of utility Ardent Censer brings to the table. Another thing I don't like about Redemption is the 2.5 secs. delay on the active, too many times it can bait allies to go back to get the heal but just kill themselves by going back in.
It would've been better if the delay was 1.5-2 secs, if they poured the health into armor/mr (for example 40 armor), and if the cdr was poured into 5-10% heal/shield power or 10-15 AP.
I think Redemption is an overrated item, especially after the 7.2 nerfs, hp got shifted into mp regen (which is okay) but active heal early game got nerfed pretty hard.
People also seem to not know that the item is intended for healing/shielding support champions (which explains the 10% healing and shielding power). I see alot of people even in LCS build it on tanks that don't even have any heals or shields in their kit, which in my opinion is pretty bad, whenever you see a tank throw the Redemption you always see how little the healing does.
In my opinion Ardent Censer brings much more to the table. Redemption vs Ardent Censer is kind of the same comparison as maxing W vs Q, people only see the raw amounts of healing that goes through, but alot of people don't realize that sustaining is more than just raw hp, it's about staying healthy over time/as long as possible, which is what Ardent Censer and maxing Q does.
If you really want to build it though you'd probably want to swap it for Ardent Censer.
Hope that gave you some more in depth view on Redemption.
Cya around :3
Mikael's gives a nice amount of healing and shielding power (20%) which is really good on Soraka, I recommend to put an item slot hotkey to quick cast and have Mikael's on that item slot, that way you only have to aim your cursor on your ally and press the hotkey which is significantly faster than clicking the hotkey and also clicking with your mouse on your ally.
Have fun! <3
