That used to be pretty fun :D
Yeah I mean if they're already on top of your booty then you might wanna have barrier, whatever works best for you <3
I just play as Jerry (the mouse from Tom and Jerry) and always roll with exhaust and flash. I make sure they never get on my booty. It's really a cat and mouse game. Kinda like being an assassin, but instead of finding opportunities/moments to execute your enemies you dip in and out of situations to help your teammates with phat heals, silences and damage reductions.
I always say, whatever works best for you, roll with that. Forcing someone to play a certain playstyle doesn't work in their favour. It's just what I found myself working the best for me.
Have fun :D
How was Mordekaiser's room like, was it messy? Filled with metal band posters and electric guitars? Jokes aside XD Good job on escaping the Death Realm! He should've just went with Morellonomicon.. or Thornmail if your team was heavy on physical dmg.
All you gotta know is that the GW items apply 40% healing reduction. Both Chemtech Putrifier and Morellonomicon applies GW by dealing magic to the enemy champions, whilst Thornmail applies GW when champions auto attack the player with Thornmail.
All three of them can also increase the effect to 60%. For Chemtech Putrifier it's healing or shielding allies. For Morellonomicon they gotta be under 50% of their max hp. For Thornmail your enemies got to be immobilized.
There's not much you can do against anti-heal, it's a counter build item. Things you can do however is dodging abilities so that GW doesn't apply on you. That way atleast you still get full benefit out of the heals from landing Q's and using your R.
EDIT: As of patch 11.18 when using R, Grievous Wounds gets removed from all targets before applying the ultimate heal.
Hope that helps!
It'd be a blast hanging out with you <3
If anyone else reads this feel free to join aswell, everyone's more than welcome :D
Thank you so much :)
As for the items, let's compare them.
Redemption full build with 312 AP: You get some health (which scales really bad on Soraka) but ok it makes you less squishy, you get some hp and mp regen it's ok but not the big thing about Redemption, you get 10% cdr (which you overcap unless switching Lucidity boots for other boots, you would miss out on 10% summoner spell reduction though which is quite amazing), then the main two things, you get 10% healing power and the active.
At lv 18 the active heals 490, in combination with all the healing power the build has (10% Redemption + 20% Mikael's + 10% Ardent + 10% Windspeaker's Blessing) which is 50% the active would heal for 735 (490x1.5) which you can use every 2 mins.
Seraph's full build with 516 AP: Soraka is definitely not a mana hungry champion mid to late game, so what's the reason behind Seraphs, well at lv18 Soraka has 1371 mana, together with Seraph's this becomes 2371, because of Seraph's passive this build puts Soraka's AP at 516. The other big thing is the active mana shield, using 20% of current mana (2371x0.2) gives a shield of 474 + 150 for a total shield value of 624 (note: shields are nice against both ad and ap damage types) which also can be used every 2 mins. Let's say you've used half your mana (quite alot of spamming skills), you still have a shield value of 387. This is quite some self defense and it's instant compared to the 2.5sec delay of Redemption.
As for the 10% more healing power increase on Soraka's Q, W and R from Redemption vs the 204 AP difference with Seraph's build. I don't think you wanna know because the numbers would get pretty dirty. And obviously, yes, Redemption and it's active is focused on healing, Seraph's has a higher price ticket but in return you don't only get a nice fat shield but all of your skills scale off AP which the 204 AP will hugely improve (including healing, self sustain and damage).
As for the gameplay tips:
I hear what you're saying, I've had stuff like this happen to me too. What I did was I stopped playing as aggressive all the times and rather started playing more passive. It's not that much about constant pressure (always aggro play) it's about the moment you flick the aggro switch and how fast you can respond to an opponents mistake/misstep and heavily punishing it, this could either be 2v2 or the moment you're about to get help from your jungler. What it comes down to is that playing more passive can also be more relaxing, you don't have to do too much in the laning phase other than staying alive with your adc and prevent from getting behind. When I say to play more passive it doesn't mean you completely stop doing anything, you just play more safe and harass from further range (less riskier plays).
Basically you're going to commit less to the fights and let your teammates start them. If you think an ally is overstaying their welcome (for example picking a 1v3 fight in a silly situation) you don't commit too hard on saving them. Letting your teammates start fights will put your valuable health pool in a safer spot.
Hope that helps you in your ranked games :)
Take care!
