This guide is stale, on the top you see one type of runes, mid page another kind. Then again in some parts it say to max W second and in other parts E it is just so inconsistent and not being updated, just changing the release to keep it up but the content is is quite stale now.

Guides that dont include match ups shouldn't be published.

You have to understand that writing a guide takes a lot of time and effort. Also some writers consider match-ups an irrelevant game factor as you should learn how to play against every matchup eventually and not just in good matchups. Also often times mathups are not a sign of a direct counterplay but the efficiency of the champion in the current meta. You can also search your matchups pretty easily on a lot of websites like u.gg. Those websites provide you information about your matchup in real time based on the current meta. What those sites don't tell you about, however are things like laning phase and strategy for the game. Vapora dark explained those really well in this guide. Also keep in mind that every writer has their own principles they strictly follow. Next time you make a guide you can follow your principle and post a guide with very detailed matchup section explaining literally every little detail but don't force other people to follow your ideals.

Thnx for your time and have a ravishing day.

I love this guide. Though I think that starting with a long sword is much batter than dark seal or doran's shield- it is more gold efficiant, it gives you enough dmg and your building path is even easier later on.

Hey dude,
I do always max the W second for me it feels good to have less cooldown on the smoke first than having "more" damage on E. I don't see a reason to max E before W honestly. i mean u have more jumps and more "escape" but your W has escape + energy regen instant. What's your opinion about that?

You're right. I did wonder about W max when she got released but I wanted to wait and see what pros would end up doing, and it seems they're pretty much all universally maxing W now.

This guide previously belonged to @ Pure Panphobia, I've taken up updating it for the Akali rework since he doesn't play League much anymore. Hopefully fans of the previous iteration will still find this suits their needs, at the very least it carries his approval!

hey it's me again wouldn't Summon Aery be a bit better? since it lets you deal bonus damage when it's on an enemy and with Akali passive wouldn't it be better to take or is it an even kind of rune with electrocute?

Pure Panphobia (33) | May 8, 2018 6:27pm
Hi again. Electrocute is the best rune for Akali in almost every situation. There is an argument to be made that Summon Aery is slightly better for laning phase because of the extended ability to poke, however it becomes significantly less impactful as the game goes on. If you watch any high level Akali main, they're going to be using Electrocute 9/10 times. Just watch Professor Akali if you have any doubts. I personally never run Summon Aery.
