Hi, (sorry 4 my bad english, don't speak it) after the rework/patch if a want to counter an AD / AP matchup should I use the items you put in ´old build´? The thing is, I know they are useful against them but as they don't appear in the ´new, reworked, only viable build´ I'm kind of confused.
Also, I know I can itemize against them in late game, but when it comes to early laning phase, should I replace Sheen for a ramble?/brumble? (however it is written xD) vest against a fiora for example? Or I just HAVE TO take the sheen and trinity, and phantom dancer/ dead mans first.

hey, are you still updating the dedicated match up section? I've seen a lot of sett top lane and a few others that aren't listed. Other guides talk about them but they don't explain things like you do so I don't really trust it lol.

Sett and Morekaiser are the ones i really miss in the guide. Especially Morde is pain to play against. Maybe i dont see the obvious strat here, but would really appreciate an update.

What does the (old) tag mean are these not viable or do they still work? If they don't work why not just hide them and if they do why specify old?

Well, I keep them for the sake of nostalgia. The guide's about six years old and some parts of it I like to keep as mementos of old times. ^^

I feel like the advice for Teemo is not good enough to win lane. Twice in a row, I've gone against Teemo, used the advice, and lost. Whenever I try to trade against him, I always end up with him chasing after me and either killing me or forcing me to back, and if I don't run after trading and try to all in, he'll kill me. What runes am I supposed to take against him, or what else could I do?

I start normal D Shield and Pot. I take TP because i tend to make mistakes vs teeme especially of he is agressive with PTA for example. If he is a standard teemo i try to check if what lvl of good he is. a good teemo will never use his blind on you unless you try to farm with your Q or on canon minions.
Let him push, farm under tower make him vulnerable to ganks pre 6, call your jng on it he will love to smash teemos face pre 6.
Swift Boots can be good for chasing him down but you should build a second slow item to chase him down if the teemo player gives you the oportunity to do so.
If you farm under tower and he pressures you lure him into tower range. Bad teemos may take a shot or two. a low health themo is vulnerable to slow+flash+q+ult combos.
Try to bait his blind under tower.

I've read the guide, but I noticed that there are still mentions of the Villain mechanic when it no longer exists? I'd think they should be removed.

garen struggles versus tanks, if you think that poppy is a low threat to garen, that shen and sion are also low threat and jax, his biggest counter is also a low threat then i gotta say that you have no idea what you write about. But i checked out the jax explaination "silence him before he uses counter strike", im sure he would let you do so

1) low threat means you will have a hard time losing the lane, not necessairly that you must snowball it
2) Poppy has no way to kill you unless you **** up yourself, so does Shen and Sion.
3) jax is his biggest counter? Really? Darius, Kayle, hello? Jax does not get ****ed by Garen anymore but he definetly does not counter him
4) Jax's E has twice the cd as Garen's q, so either opening with Judgment or using Q when Jax's E is on cd allows for easy silence and yes, I do manage that in diamond, and also yes, I do win the lanes you mentioned 90% of times
5) Please, I'm a Diamond Garen otp and mained him for 3 years, if someone here has no idea about what he's writing, that's you pal, especially after this comment of mine

garen does no damage to tanks, he has no pressure on these lanes and gets outscaled superhard by poppy for example. I'm diamond too on euwest so ur elo doesn't really bother me. Garen is really decent against some melee matchups but if he struggles early against a lane that outscales him very hard it means it's not a good matchup for him. And so is with Jax, if he plays smart and doesn't fight garen without his ****er strike he will eventually win the lane super easy, because once he gets tf and titanic and is not behind garen has nothing to say in this anymore.

If a Jax player is smart he would never let you silence him when his counter strike is up, because garen's Q is not instant like Darius' W or Renekton's W, it has a cast time and he can pop his E every time u try to use it even if u activate it while in combat, so he makes one of your abilities completely useless, he wont use his E when you start to judgement on him and just keep trading.

If both players are on the same skill level a jax should win this lane 8 out of 10 times, its not a superhard counter like darius into yasuo or riven into gangplank but it is and has always been a jax sided matchup and considering that this lane gets worse and worse for garen with every item bought it cant be said that it's a ''low threat'' unless you play not to feed your lane and not to win the actual game.

Garen's midgame is insane even if you are behind in a hard lane. That being said since your counterstrike is tliterally the only argument you can use properly, let me repeat that it has a huge cd compared to Garen's Q and Garen's main damaging ability isn't the Q but the E. Also, after the W buff Garen can tank your E-W easily and scre you over right after you're done with your counterstrike. Finally, and this is a throwback at the midgame argument, Garen scales faster than Jax, in midgame, with a single lethality item, Garen dumps Jax. Jax gets stronger than garen after level 13-14 IF he's ahead. The lane is 100% not jax oriented as you say. Must be that you never faced a Garen who knew what he was doing.

Actually I win with Garen vs Poppy always also vs Sion. Shen is a tough guy if he is a great Shen I first need to get a few lower Items else I die. Jax tbh I am afraid of him this matchup is really really depending on the skill of Jax since great Jax players are able to zone me level 1/2 and some even just delete me. Yet there are also times where I just roflstomp Jax from the beginning till the very end. But as Fsat said it ain´t that hard to land a Q for example just start a AA animation and cancel it with Q. Most Jax players won´t use their E for just a basic attack - but this matchup as I mentioned before is very dependend on the Jax player. I am kinda sure you would just delete me in an instant :/
