That used to be pretty fun :D
Yeah I mean if they're already on top of your booty then you might wanna have barrier, whatever works best for you <3
I just play as Jerry (the mouse from Tom and Jerry) and always roll with exhaust and flash. I make sure they never get on my booty. It's really a cat and mouse game. Kinda like being an assassin, but instead of finding opportunities/moments to execute your enemies you dip in and out of situations to help your teammates with phat heals, silences and damage reductions.
I always say, whatever works best for you, roll with that. Forcing someone to play a certain playstyle doesn't work in their favour. It's just what I found myself working the best for me.
Have fun :D
How was Mordekaiser's room like, was it messy? Filled with metal band posters and electric guitars? Jokes aside XD Good job on escaping the Death Realm! He should've just went with Morellonomicon.. or Thornmail if your team was heavy on physical dmg.
All you gotta know is that the GW items apply 40% healing reduction. Both Chemtech Putrifier and Morellonomicon applies GW by dealing magic to the enemy champions, whilst Thornmail applies GW when champions auto attack the player with Thornmail.
All three of them can also increase the effect to 60%. For Chemtech Putrifier it's healing or shielding allies. For Morellonomicon they gotta be under 50% of their max hp. For Thornmail your enemies got to be immobilized.
There's not much you can do against anti-heal, it's a counter build item. Things you can do however is dodging abilities so that GW doesn't apply on you. That way atleast you still get full benefit out of the heals from landing Q's and using your R.
EDIT: As of patch 11.18 when using R, Grievous Wounds gets removed from all targets before applying the ultimate heal.
Hope that helps!
It'd be a blast hanging out with you <3
If anyone else reads this feel free to join aswell, everyone's more than welcome :D
I've been following your build almost exactly as there is rarely reason to build anything else as a Soraka since you don't focus resistances or damage, but I was curious about the pro's and con's of picking up Morellonomicon as opposed to Archangel's Staff/Seraph's Embrace.
My issue with Archangel's is that, while on paper the active from Seraph's is so amazing, I rarely find it hitting the transformation while in game, since it is either my last or second-to-last item. Maybe it's my desire to land a Q before hitting heal in most cases, or just my general playstyle, but would it not make sense to take Morellonomicon instead, as it puts you directly on the 40% cdr cap, gives 150+ more base mana, roughly equates to the same AP output as the passive of Archangel's and has the added bonus of Grievous Wounds? Not to mention with a global-assist ult, it's not unlikely that you'll get at least 40% of your max mana on every ult, assuming it's timed correctly and you don't get 100% restored on that potential team wipe of course.
What are your thoughts on this?
Welcome back :D and congrats on your lv 7 mastery and 100k mastery points! Woohoo :D
If I remember correctly I used to build Morellonomicon a very long time ago, this was due to the lack of cdr items back then. Right now almost every item has like 10% cdr on it, which makes it a little bit annoying sometimes due to the item cap being at 40%, meaning everything over 40% is wasted. Since there are so many cdr items I don't think Morellonomicon is a good item choice as of now.
Also I believe that the new runes & masteries update was going to allow the overkill on cdr to be turned into other stats (AP)? If I'm not mistaken, don't quote me on that :P but perhaps with the new runes & masteries we could make some very cool item sets and not lose gold/stats when over 40% cdr.
I also want to say that most of my games end before I even complete my fourth item, sometimes I get halfway into building Rabadon's... so I agree on your statement "while on paper the active from Seraph's is so amazing, I rarely find it hitting the transformation while in game". Since alot of games end pretty quick we aren't really worried about the end game, but what if? Alot of players don't know what items to get late game, simply because most games end around the 30 ish minute mark, but you should be knowing what to build IF it comes to super late game. That way you don't buy a weird item or spend a minute at fountain deciding what to get. On paper and in practice Seraph's is a really good item, that's why I included it into the build.
The reason why the late game items I picked are expensive is that not only are they really good and useful, but you can build towards them the entire game. Which is a good thing because once you've completed the build you'll have pretty much the most stats you could possibly get. Whereas if you were building cheap early game items and finished all six of your items at 30mins. you would have way less stats, and if the game goes to 60mins. you'll be missing out on alot. Reselling items is usually a bad thing aswell because you'll not get the full gold back.
If you really want to build Morellonomicon right now I'd imagine you'd have either Oasis or Watcher's and Lucidity (20% total cdr) and Morello as third giving you 40% cdr. You'd probably want to avoid getting any other cdr items at that point, which leaves you with items like Rabadon's, Seraph's and Luden's as your last three items. Which would be quite an aggressive build (and without heal or shielding power because those items have cdr on them) meaning you'd want to be very accurate with your Q's (and E's) as they'd be dealing loads of damage (aswell as healing alot from the Q passive). Obviously you could swap one or two items out for items with Armor and/or MR (without HP on them), such as Zz'Rot or Locket (but Locket is better on tanks these days due to the hp scaling).
Once again, I don't think Morello is a good pick because you can hit your cdr cap just as fast on the items that include heal and shielding power. They also provide much more useful stats, especially passives like the one from Ardent Censer, which got nerfed in 7.17 but still remains OP.
I could probably go on forever here lol, but I think you already know that I don't think Morello is a good pick by now XD
Hope you see that the heal and shielding power items bring alot to the table at the moment and that it answers your question.
Cya around <3
I might use that recommended set for Morello in certain circumstances tho, depending on their comp, although when I think about it that's an unlikely build as well. The base build does indeed have better scaling potential, even if it won't frequently hit that cap.
