A great, In-depth guide for fellow Ahri mains! This is probably the only Ahri guide i'll use, even though i don't play her as much as i used to do :^)

The changes are great. Her losing the Q movespeed isn't that big of a deal, it was gimmicky and unnecessary anyway so I won't miss it.

I've always played Ahri as an assassin over anything else and my favorite version of her was when she had the damage amp on Charm, so it'll be cool to see it back. Even if they choose to go with a version without the damage amp, she's trading movespeed for damage which I'll take any day.

I think she'll end up being over-tuned tbh, but I won't be complaining :^)

Also, looks like it's being delayed til 8.7 or later.

Really solid guide, thanks for sharing your experience on Ahri. Just a quick question, what do you think of Electrocute? I've been using if for a few games and I find the extra burst really useful. Do you think it's better to go for electrocute all in burst or Aery poke damage? I thought it would be kind of weak because you aren't really using the shield portion of the ability.

I love Electrocute, it just doesn't win you lane and atm it's super important to win your lane and snowball, especially as Ahri. Aery with Celerity and Scorch gives you the most lane power and it works well on Ahri because her early-game isn't all that great.

If you take Electro, you're making your bad early even more bad most of the time and you're just making it harder on yourself playing vs other Aery or Comet users.

Electro is certainly viable though and it scales muuuuch better than Aery does. Doing well in lane just trumps scaling atm, so Aery is better.

To be honest I find aery lacking in comparison, its not too hard to proc Electrocute against melee, and it also shines early when u get a gank and burst. And playing against someone when you both have aery feels like they kinda null each other
I just had matchups against vel malz and ryze using aery, ended up killing them before a first recall because aery's damage was so minor it didnt matter. I dont get why its so popular

Thing is, you have the potential to proc Aery like 10-15~ times in the duration of 1 Electrocute cooldown early-game. Realistically that's never going to happen, but you're going to get many procs of Aery to 1 proc of Electro on average.

While you're right about it easy to proc Electro vs melee, you can constantly auto them to apply Aery so while your burst trades will be lower, your consistent dps will be much higher. It's what also makes Electrocute super situational for lane.

The majority of D1+ Korean Ahri mains are taking Aery too, which obviously doesn't mean Aery is the best, but it should speak something of the Keystone.

Don't get me wrong though, Electrocute is great and I actually prefer the Keystone in general myself. It's just in the current state of League and Ahri in particular (she's far from top tier) Sorc primary is marginally better imo.

Ah ok thanks! I'll have to give Aery a go on Ahri, I never really considered it before reading this guide due to electrocute scaling better later on. But I know what you mean, I think I win lane most of the time as Ahri, but I don't really snowball hard enough to have a lasting impact.
