Because of Riot decided to change Mandate to legendary, I am looking for replacement. Is Everfrost good option?

Slap a Gargoyle Stoneplate on top of the build and we're bigger, stronker and faster than Cho'gath XD I'm just kidding. Man that does remind me of the good Force of Nature days when the item actually made alot of sense for the heavy regen against heavy AP teams and your W didn't even end up getting a negative effect out of it (HP use wasn't increased cos FoN didn't have any HP on it). https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Force_of_Nature#Revisions

That used to be pretty fun :D

Awesome but i would actually use exhaust bcs in a lot of scenarios its useless and barrier is better

SwelteringMuffin (28) | December 3, 2021 9:53pm
I'm assuming you meant to say wouldn't?

Yeah I mean if they're already on top of your booty then you might wanna have barrier, whatever works best for you <3

I just play as Jerry (the mouse from Tom and Jerry) and always roll with exhaust and flash. I make sure they never get on my booty. It's really a cat and mouse game. Kinda like being an assassin, but instead of finding opportunities/moments to execute your enemies you dip in and out of situations to help your teammates with phat heals, silences and damage reductions.

I always say, whatever works best for you, roll with that. Forcing someone to play a certain playstyle doesn't work in their favour. It's just what I found myself working the best for me.

Have fun :D

hi bro i have question on patch 11.5 with soraka gameplay against morderkaiser and jinx on enemy team that morde build chemtech putrifier & thornmail & morellonomicon and whene my team begin fight for baron he come and ult me R (put me on his room) so whene i dodge his Q and then back from his ult i try R ult my team and nothing happen maybe 15 % of heal only so how i can do against a lot of gw items on enemy team ?? thank you

SwelteringMuffin (28) | December 3, 2021 10:17pm
Sounds like that Mordekaiser really likes building anti-heal, too bad for him they don't stack XD
How was Mordekaiser's room like, was it messy? Filled with metal band posters and electric guitars? Jokes aside XD Good job on escaping the Death Realm! He should've just went with Morellonomicon.. or Thornmail if your team was heavy on physical dmg.

All you gotta know is that the GW items apply 40% healing reduction. Both Chemtech Putrifier and Morellonomicon applies GW by dealing magic to the enemy champions, whilst Thornmail applies GW when champions auto attack the player with Thornmail.

All three of them can also increase the effect to 60%. For Chemtech Putrifier it's healing or shielding allies. For Morellonomicon they gotta be under 50% of their max hp. For Thornmail your enemies got to be immobilized.

There's not much you can do against anti-heal, it's a counter build item. Things you can do however is dodging abilities so that GW doesn't apply on you. That way atleast you still get full benefit out of the heals from landing Q's and using your R.

EDIT: As of patch 11.18 when using R, Grievous Wounds gets removed from all targets before applying the ultimate heal.

Hope that helps!

Truly a wonderful guide, this guide has great aesthetics, is very pleasing to the eyes, it is very colorful, The guide not only is describing how to play the champion, but it also tells you what mentality should you keep and how to maintain it. I believe this guide has reached the highest milestones a guide can reach. I believe every guide creator including myself should look up to this guide. I don't usually play Soraka, or support at all, but after reading this guide I am sure if I ever get auto-filled to support I would play Soraka. Thanks for such an amazing guide.

Hi, I was curious about why you max q over w and why you don't build redemption so I read your earlier comments. I somewhat disagree with your statements.

I think Q max is good with a ton of caveats.
1. If I am getting poked out really hard in lane I may stand behind my adc and just heal him as he tries to cs.
2. If the laning phase ends really early and we are needing to group. I saw that you think q is better b/c it has greater numbers, but I think a tristana with an effective heal on her back is better than a tristana without a heal and a soraka q. This doesn't however apply if laning phase ends because we got fed. In that situation I would max q and poke the enemy out at every choke point in the jungle and in lane.
3. If the jungler is ganking a lot and I don't think we're very safe.

Often times I do a hybrid where I put 2 or 3 levels in q before maxing w.

Now, on to redemption.
You say the active is unreliable but it is so ridiculously good, especially with a little practice. It can turn so many skirmishes in the early/mid game which can really tilt the game in your favor. Also in late game, while it is not super reliable, it can singlehandedly win you the game.
You say you don't need it because it's just like your ultimate, but I remember countless times where the enemy focused very hard to zone me from a teamfight so I couldn't contribute with my w, but I was super effective in the teamfight anyway because I got redemption ult which is basically a full health bar late game.

Tell me what you think.
My summoner name is Mistbu, I'm a plat 3 player and a lot of my ranked games are on soraka and janna support.

Hey Mistben,

As a reply to your arguments from points 1, 2 and 3:

1. This is a very true and obvious statement, when poked out you should position yourself safer behind the adc to prevent taking further damage and risking death. However if you're getting poked out really hard it means that you're not dodging enough abilities or not positioning yourself well enough in lane. Ofcourse there are certain matchups that are very annoying to deal with, such as Lux or Brand. With Lux for example you get in alot of trouble if you get snared by her Q, thus playing very safe/far back is sometimes required. Brand however is less annoying to deal with, as it's a bit easier to dodge his W aoe if you stand far enough back when you know it's up for him (or walk at max range of Brand W to bait out the ability).

I still max Q in those kind of matchups and land my Q's at max range to keep myself from getting poked out.

2. A heal from Q max is not that much lower than W max, IF you heal after hitting your Q. Q max vs W max really varies per player. If you're landing the majority of your Q's or the Q's where it matters (in teamfights), it's much better to max Q and build Athene's alongside with this.

If you're not hitting your Q's that often you can't really rely on maxing Q, so you should probably max W alongside with Mikael's (instead of Athene's). Some players max Q and W at the same time, which in my opinion is still better than maxing W.

All I can say is that maxing Q is playing to your advantage.

3. Wards and map awareness, simple and short. If you're getting ganked alot place down wards in the bushes that matter, look at your other lanes and see which lane is pushed out most. The enemy jungler is most likely ganking the lane that's being pushed in the most by your teammates. Don't play too aggro until you see the enemy jungler on the map.

As for Redemption, it really depends on how your team is playing the game because the active is very good in teamfights. The more targets you hit with Redemption (whether it's an ally for the heal or an enemy for the dmg) the better the usage becomes. Meaning that the way your allies pick teamfights and the way they're fighting them becomes very crucial how good the usage will be. Which means that in higher elo games players will play much better around Redemption.

That being said doesn't automatically mean that you should get Redemption. You say that you're sometimes being zoned from your allies, not being able to heal them with W. If you're able to drag one (or even two) enemies away off the main fight and making it out alive, you're doing your dang job really well because you drag all the pressure away from the main fight and giving your team more room. As long as you collapse with your team again if those enemies are heading back to the main fight you're doing alot of work.

Hope that clears things up some more :3
