In terms of the picture you posted, I find it very interesting and surprising; however, the pick percent is 8% higher. It's likely that any new malzahar player attempts to play with Transcendence lowering the overall win rate. I guess it comes down to preference, personally I enjoy being able to put my E on multiple members of their team and having the comfort of knowing my ult is up every 32 seconds instead of adding 11 move speed from Celerity.
That doesn't make sense though, most of Malz's games would come from people who are frequent Malz players rather than people just trying him out. And why would new players flock onto what's supposedly a better rune and drag its winrate down, while experienced Malz players flock onto a supposedly worse rune and drag its winrate up? Surely it would work the other way around?
