Deathcap is your go too. Last Stand and Liandries while in your Passive will do it too. Spellbinder, Ludens is good but you will be very very squishy. Raba 3rd Item is the strongest R

Holy cow I was a Soraka main, but one look at this guide and holy moley sign me up for the Karthus train Choo! Choo! This Karthus community really know their stuff, so much that I feel stuffed, amirite. Anyway, good job Pale King. This guide rlly sweetens my apples. :)

The best guide on Karthus with nice design improvements, +1 well deserved
Nice community concept and great integration within this guide
Like the small citation for each abilities and with items
The celerity, zombie ward and ravenous hunter icons within runes is kinda confusing unless they are alternative choices, if not maybe put 4 times the Aery all around as its the main keystone (i presume you want keep 9 icons used for design reason)
Super clear itemization chapter
Great neophyte vs Elder lich explanations ^^
Useful tips and lots of detailed specific videos
Maybe put some kind of conclusion / credits / thanks to conclude the guide ?

Thank You! They are indeed alternative runes. The guide is always improving and I still have much work to do. It is by no means finished. I fully intend to add a Karthus jungle chapter and an index of match ups. I deeply appreciate the praise from an incredible guide author. Long live the dark lord!

I see that Spellbinder is only a situational item. I'm not a Karthus main but this item seems very interesting on him. Indeed it is easy to stack w/ Q and you can use it just before R for more dmg, I want to know why it is not a core item?

I would say that you could use it as a core item when snowballing in place of Ludens for stronger team Requiem's. I prefer Ludens because it lets you focus down one target with your scoreboard and it gives CDR and mana. Spellbinder takes the place of old Ludens in the late game where you can usually sell boots for Movement speed and the AP. The downside to Spellbinder is it does take time to charge and if you're behind its less effective hense why I don't buy it till I am already capped out. There is a Mejai's build on youtube that uses Spellbinder and a few other elements to ramp Karth's AP past 1500 and one shot the whole enemy team with his ult. The host is annoying but the build is an interesting concept. I still need to add Mejai's paths like this to the guide and I'd say that Spellbinder will have its highest potential there.
